Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 5

We've just bought a new flat and would like to rent it out when we are not in town which is pretty often :)

It is furnished to a high standard - similar to my other listing - and is very conveniently located as well. The sofa-bed in the pictures has been replaced with a luxury recliner and if there are more than 2 guests they will be provided with a nice double AirBed.

It has a garden which is still coming up with new plants and trees but is a very good place to do your BBQ.

It is 7 minutes bus ride or 12 minutes walk to Clapham Common, which is the nearest tube station. From there you can reach Central London, London Bridge and the Houses of Parlament in 15-20 minutes. There are also many buses from the area to different parts of London.

If you want to experience living in a real London neighbourhood, this is one of the best areas. The local shops, pubs and cafes are great (to top it up very reasonable price cafe, shops, restaurants are around as well as pricey once too). The Clapham area is becoming one of the trendiest areas of London, and from Clapham Junction, which is about 20 minutes on the bus from the house, you can take trains to many cities around London.

The flat is located about 10 minutes from Clapham Common Park, which is a great place for you to enjoy summer afternoons. There are a couple of local council (government) leisure facilities which could be used on a pay as you go basis. They are usually a few £ for each use which includes gym, clean and indoor warm swimming pool, racquet sports.

Another very trendy London area is Brixton, which is only 10 minutes on the bus from the house. It is a lively spot with many bars, restaurants, clubs, cinemas, cafes, markets and health food shops to name but a few. And if you value your food and the planet there is a great organic farmers market locally every Sunday! Brixton will give you a taste of the real London for those of you looking to go off the beaten tourist track into the local heart of this great city. If in doubt check out 'Brixton Village' market online and you will then know what I am talking about! It's even been written up in the New York Times.

This would suit anyone travelling through London who wants to see a bit of authentic London life with its pubs, bars, people and local living, and have wicked access to the west end and all the sights. Basically this is where the real Londoners live!

The flat has got everything you would need during your stay in London.
