Newly decorated compact apartment on the second floor of a gated development of apartments of an historic Grade 2 Listed University Building in the London central area of Bethnal Green and walking distance to the Shoreditch area and Liverpool Street/City area.

The building is greatly located overlooking a park square and Bethnal Green Central Line underground station is less than 100 metres away from the front door. (1 stop/4 minutes to Liverpool Street; 5 stops/10 minutes to Holborn/Covent Garden; 6 stops/12 minutes to Tottenham Court Road - 7 stops/13 minutes to Oxford Circus).

The apartment sleeps 2 people with 1 bedroom with a double bed, however there is a 1 large double sofa bed in the living room, in case the two people wish to sleep separately.

The apartment is 40sqm and it is designed for open plan leaving with separate bedroom/sleeping area and bathroom. It comprises of a bright reception room overlooking Victoria Park Square gardens and the Museum of Childhood grounds. It is south west facing with plenty of natural light.

The building, University House, 16 Victoria Park Square is located in the centre of a beautiful square garden in Bethnal Green, set back from the main street. All buildings facing the square are Historic Listed Buildings, one of which is the Museum of Childhood.

Bethnal Green Central Line underground station is also on the square with 3 different entrances from all corners.

Bethnal Green is very central, just one stop to Liverpool street and the City. There are also close-by bus stops to take you to Liverpool street, the vibrant area of Shoreditch with its numerous bars, restaurants, London best street markets and the city centre in few minutes.

Victoria Park, one of the most beautiful parks in London, and Regents Canal are also around the corner.



Walking out of the building main gate, cross the small park. The station entrance is less than 100 metres away.

The underground is the Central Line (Red), crossing throughout central London from east, center to west (Notting Hill Gate). It is 1 stop/4 minutes to Liverpool Street; 5 stops/10 minutes to Holborn/Covent Garden; 6 stops/12 minutes to Tottenham Court Road - 7 stops/13 minutes to Oxford Circus).


The closest bus station is right on Victoria park Square. Walk out of the building and turn left. The bus station is right in front at the end of the road.

Buses will take you toward Liverpool Street Station, in a few minutes and toward the city center.


On street parking is for residents only from monday to friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm. All other times is free, including saturday. and sundays.

There are secured parking areas around the area. The daily parking rate is approx £7.


Bethnal Green offers a wide range of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.

The area of Shoreditch/Hoxton is located at walking distance and it has become the most popular area during the weekends for its various bars, clubs and restaurants.

Some of the best markets in London are located close by, at walking distance: Spitalfield Market, Brick Lane Market, Broadway Market and the beautiful - Sundays morning only - Columbia Road Flower Market.

The apartment is very central and a few stops/minutes away from all main London central attractions.

There are supermarkets at walking distance from the apartments. These are:

A small Sainsbury's open from 7am to 11pm everyday of the week, located just in front of the square.

The very large Whitechapel Sainsbury's Superstore located 5 minutes walk away.

Tesco's on Bethnal Green Road ( 5 minutes walk)

and many other small shops.


The apartment is on the 2nd Floor. There is a secure gate into the building with private courtyard.
All appliances instructions are left in the first cupboard of the kitchen.
There are some basics in the kitchen such as snacks, biscuits, corn flakes, orange juice, coffee, tea, bread, sugar, water etc.
Plates, glasses, cups, cutlery, pans etc. are all in the kitchen cupboards.
There are some basics for cleaning such as washing up liquids,washing machine powder, etc. and a vacuum cleaner. Clean Linens and Towels are provided.

The cleaning services before arrival and after departure is included (£75 at booking)


There is Wireless Broadband.

Please note that the building is an extremely quiet gated residential development of apartmentsand all residents are required to respect the neighbours in terms of noise.

The building is historic and constructed mainly in timber and noise can carry around easily.

Due to previous guests not respecting this I have had complaints about noise from neighbours, in particular to the ones below the apartment. I would be grateful if the guests will take much consideration. In particular:

1. Please use only the main internal communal staircase and not the spiral staircase located in the internal courtyard - this is a fire escape stair and should not be used.
2. Please close the main entrance gate lightly during night hours as neighbours have complained about this.
3. Please keep volumes of TV, radio and other players at a decent level. Unfortunately one of the neighbours is particularly concerned about this.
