Description: This extremely multi-cultural area is located approximately nine kilometres from the centre of London, very near the River Thames. Fulham has a wonderful night life and boasts a whole number of pubs and night clubs. It is a predominantly residential middle-class area and its streets are home to numerous churches which in the past were the home of Londons Bishop.

Fulham Broadway is the shopping centre with a great number of shops and lively boutiques for a dedicated shopping excursion. The dynamic North End Road hosts an open-air market where visitors can really soak up a real London atmosphere. Its pleasant streets offer the opportunity to take a long walk or stroll along the river where it is a particularly good spot to stop and have a drink.

Fulham is a really beautiful area with shops, libraries and typical English houses. One important landmark is Fulham Palace that was the main residence of Londons Bishop for over 1300 years and is currently used as a museum. It is also possible to visit the Botanical Gardens that surround the palace.

Crossing the river to the Southbank leads to the district of Putney. Formerly it was where Londoners would head to practice outdoor sports, and in fact even today is the home of many canoeing schools. It is also a fabulous spot to walk along the river and enjoy a part of London that very few are familiar with. Nearby is the Anglican church of St. Mary the Virgin; a part of its structure conserves its medieval origins whilst the rest of the building dates back to 1836, the year it was reconstructed.
