A Lovely Cottage apartment nestling in the heart of Hampstead Village, forming part of our family home, all the comforts and close to all the famous restaurants, shops and pubs.

The cottage was built in 1840 and is set in the secret backwaters of Hampstead Village. The apartment forms the ground floor of one of two adjoining cottages set in an area with no roads, which is fronted by a large award winning garden that has many beautiful features.

Situated in a conservation area, no road so no traffic noise. Close to Hampstead Heath and 3 square miles of open parkland. A short walk to all the historic sights that include both FENTON HOUSE and KENWOOD HOUSE both run by The National Trust & English Heritage .The West End and Theatres are a short tube ride away. All windows look out onto our award winning garden. Guests will be welcomed with a bottle of Champagne and fresh flowers .Optional cleaning and laundry service are available to assist you to have the perfect and relaxing stay.

Central London/Zone 2 / Hampstead Village area

Historically Hampstead Village was a staging post on the great North Road, it sits high above the hustle and bustle of London and famous vantage points give you panoramic views over our wonderful city. Parliament Hill is especially recommended to see London layed out before you. In the Summer months there are many out door concerts hosted at Kenwood House, set in spectacular grounds on Hampstead Heath.

Hampstead is one of the most desirable parts of London, and is well served with fast links into the heart of the City and the West End. Extremely varied architecture which spans many centuries and every conceivable period. There are dozens of pubs and restaurants on the doorstep with ample exclusive boutiques and shops within a stones throw. Hampstead Heath has been described as the lungs of London, the air is good and the whole area is suitable for long walks and is very special. Local cinema, theatres, swimming pools and gymnasiums are all close by. It doesn't matter what time of year, there is always something to do.

-45 minutes by Tube to Heathrow & Luton airports.

Our guests will benefit from the use of their own personal front door that opens from the front garden onto a lobby where jackets and coats can be left. The well furnished bedroom is located to the left and has ample clothes storage, a comfortable double bed with all linen and towels supplied. There is a fold-away single bed for a child or for an extra guest if required. The apartment also has a travel cot and could accommodate 2 young children if needed, there are toys and nursery items on request. ~ The sitting room is furnished with antiques and has a period fireplace, TV, telephone, sofa and music system and has a large window overlooking the garden. The whole flat has been sensitively modernised with underfloor heating and all the home comforts. Our well appointed kitchen/Dining room is spacious and has ample work surfaces to prepare that perfect meal. There is a gas hob, electric oven, grill, fridge and washing machine at your disposal.The bathroom & wc is compact but comfortable.

Further details outdoors:
Our award winning garden looks good all the year round but is best seen between April and October, it can be seen and enjoyed from all windows, and although the larger part is shared, our guests will benefit from the exclusive use of the part fronting the apartment. The planting and situation allows for complete privacy and perfect enjoyment. Sit and enjoy the garden all the year round in this unusual and magical setting, which is like being in the middle of the countryside, yet is in reality in the heart of town!


Further details

Our guests will be welcomed with a complimentary bottle of Champagne and fresh flowers will be displayed and changed regularly depending on the length of your stay. By arrangement we can offer room service, laundry and cleaning ~ We can also by prior arrangement equip the fridge with essential food items if desired (at cost) on your arrival.


Conditions

We require payment in advance at least two weeks prior to arrival which can be arranged by email and paypal services ~ a 25% deposit will secure an advance booking.
I am afraid the apartment is not suitable for wheelchair access.
Smoking is permitted only in designated area.

We can accept bank transfers in Sterling ~ Cheques in sterling ~ credit card payments by paypal (you will require an email address) or cash by recorded delivery ~ We do not accept cheques in any other currency than sterling. A laundry/ cleaning charge of £30 is payable on each seperate booking. There is a refundable security payment of £150 that will be charged with all balance payments prior to arrival.
