This very comfortable, bright 2-bedroom ground floor flat is in a quiet no-through-road in a quiet part of south east London. It is close to the Thames and has quick access to the major London landmarks via the Underground and bus system.

The South East England / Greater London region

London is vibrant, beautiful and multicultural. There are activities for everyone.

Previous guests have used the flat as a base to visit Windsor, Oxford, Cambridge, the Cotswolds, Constable Country and even Cornwall.

The Central London/Zone 2 / Surrey Quays area

Surrey Quays in Central London Zone 2 is a good place to stay if you are planning on visiting London. While some attractions are a bit further away, the area is also less noisy and crowded and is also remarkably convenient for some of the major sights. It is very close to the River Thames, Greenwich, Docklands and the South Bank.

Surrey Quays underground station is around 7-8 minutes' walk from the flat and Canada Water station about 15 minutes or a 5 minute bus ride. Trains from Surrey Quays call at Canada Water. From there the Jubilee Line gives direct access to London Bridge station for the London Dungeons, Shakepeare's Globe, and the Tate Modern, Waterloo station for the South Bank including the London Eye, the National Theatre and Hayward Gallery, Westminster station for the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, and No 10 Downing Street, Green Park station for Buckingham Palace and the Royal Academy, Bond Street station for Oxford Street shopping, and Baker Street station for Madame Tussaud's - all within 15 minutes of Canada Water.

There are bus stops within a couple of minutes walk from the flat with frequent buses going to Canada Water, Greenwich, Tower Bridge, and over the Thames towards the Strand. Or take the boat: river buses go regularly from Greenwich or Canary Wharf upstream to Bankside and Westminster.

If you’re feeling like a stroll you can walk from the flat through Southwark Park and along the Thames footpath to reach Tower Bridge in around 45 minutes. Greenwich is a 30-minute walk – or five-minute bus ride – away.

A very reasonably priced supermarket (Lidl) is just around the corner and a larger one (Tesco) a 10-minute walk away. Tesco is in the Surrey Quays shopping centre which has a number of clothes shops, jewellers, cafes, general stores and so on.

There is an Italian restaurant at the end of the road (about three minutes’ walk) and the main road (about five minutes) has Vietnamese, Indian and Italian restaurants, a fish and chips shop, a Chinese takeaway and a fairly modern pub. There’s also a chemist, post office, food shops and other shops in the same road. A sports centre with a swimming pool is further along the main road (about 15 minutes’ walk from the flat). Surrey Quays also has a water sports centre with dinghy sailing.

Canada Water station is on the Jubilee Line underground. There are frequent buses from the station passing close to the flat, about a 5 minute bus journey. Underground trains from Heathrow Airport connect with the Jubilee Line at Green Park. Trains from Gatwick Airport connect at London Bridge on the Jubilee Line.

There are easy connections with all London's major railway stations via the Jubilee Line.

There are good road links.

“very good accommodation” We travel to London regularly and this flat has been the best we've ever had!!!! It is very clean and has got everything needed for a perfect holiday. The flat made us feel home straight away. It is situated in a quiet area with close connection to public transport . Excellent shopping nearby. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful owner! I can warmly recommend staying there and would definitely go there again!

“The best choice for me and my family” I definitely recommend you this property. First of all the owner of the flat was very nice from the start, always ready to answer my questions and to give me all the details I needed. On our arrival we found a clean and comfortable flat, in a quiet zone (we slept better than home!). The owner left us brochures, maps, guidebooks and very helpful local information. The flat was near underground/overground/DLR/bus stations, Tower Bridge(10 min in bus), Greenwich(10 min in bus), supermarkets(Lidl and Tesco) an much more(shops, restaurants, post-office, chemist). The flat had everything we needed. Do not hesitate to stay here!

“Great Location” Flat is in an excellent part of London, away from the usual tourist haunts of central London. But only 15 minutes by the tube to central London. There is a Bus stop practically at the front door and a supermarket nearby. No need to hire a car everything you need is within walking distance.

“Great place, good location” My partner, niece, and I had a wonderful time staying in this flat. As city dwellers, we found that getting to transit was convenient. The flat was clean and well appointed. I would recommend it to someone else in a heartbeat.

“Location” For the o2 and the city and west end, all the transport connections are there, in fact, apart from the tube and many bus routes, the Route 188 goes via the Cutty Sark to the o2, and the other way to Waterloo and Covent Garden. If you are going to the Olympics, and you want somewhere quiet to stay, you have a quick connection to Stratford. Plenty of small shops nearby,plus the Surrey Quays Shopping complex. Loads of great eating places at Maritime Greenwich, as well as the West End. I will be back.
