London is the world's most visited city. It has exceptional strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development and tourism.

London contains four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, and St Margaret's Church; and the historic settlement of Greenwich (in which the Royal Observatory marks the Prime Meridian (0° longitude) and GMT).

Other famous landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Trafalgar Square and Wembley Stadium. London is home to numerous museums, galleries, libraries, sporting events and other cultural institutions, including the British Museum, National Gallery, Tate Modern, British Library, Wimbledon, and 40 West End theatres.

Central London/Zone 2

West Hampstead is a prime residential area in London. It is known for its excellent shops and wide range of bars and restaurants.

West End Lane is home to many cafes, bakeries and small shops, creating a "village" atmosphere during the day. There are excellent amenities in the area including a huge supermarket, a cinema and a world-renowned theatre (Hampstead Theatre). Within easy walking distance is Regents Park, St Johns Wood, Maida Vale and Little Venice – all beautiful areas with their own character.

West Hampstead is close to the Metropolitan line at Finchley Road and has its own Jubilee line stop. It is also served by West Hampstead Overground station and West Hampstead Thameslink station, making it a great location to get anywhere in London.

Famous residents of West Hampstead include Joan Armatrading, Chaka Khan, Doris Lessing, Dusty Springfield, Emma Thompson, Johnny Vegas and Gerry Anderson (the creator of Thunderbirds).

We appreciate all the comments we receive and try to act on all recommendations.
First, thank you for recognising what good value the flat is. Because we don't use agents we have been able to keep the price very reasonable.
Second, following the suggestion we have supplied an adapter for European devices (and US devices) so that no guest has to buy an adapter from the shops.
Third, the flat is cleaned professionally before every guest's visit. We have worked with an excellent cleaning firm for a long time and we inspect the flat before each visit.
We really want guests to enjoy their stay. We create a welcome pack for each visitor and if they tell us in advance about an area of interest, we try to suggest things that they might like to see while they are in London.

"Modern flat in a lovely area"

This is a very smartly decorated and comfortable flat in a great area of London. South Hampstead is a very quiet and leafy area, but near the cafes and restaurants of West Hampstead. The flat has been recently redecorated and everything is new and good quality.
The livingroom is bright and comfortable, and both bedrooms look out over lovely English gardens. Transport is excellent, with the tube station up the road connecting with both the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines, so it is easy to get around to most parts of town. Perhaps the best thing about this flat is the landlord Adam, who really works hard to make sure your stay is comfortable and that you have everything you need. I have already booked my next stay for summer 2013!

"Terrace house in London"

I had a long let in 2012 and the apartment is bright & spacious and is up one flight of stairs so has a district view. The carpet was just replaced & renovations were completed which made it more comfortable. There's enough space for 4 people in the two double bedrooms. The main reception area also has a dining area, sofa & a separate gas kitchen. I was pretty happy with my stay in the apartment, and the lovely residential zone 2 area is also convenient for Metropolitan/Jubilee line services.
