Easy transport links to London Centre and is close to historical sites.

The South East England / Greater London region

Greenwich is in South East London. The house, 12 Burgos Grove, is situated in Historic Greenwich where many tourist attractions are, e.g. the Maritime Museum, Royal Observatory, Royal Naval College, Royal Greenwich Park and the Cutty Sark to name but a few. Many pubs and restaurants are within easy reach as well as the markets which sell antiques, arts & crafts and lots more. There is a river bus which travels along the Thames from Greenwich Pier to the Tower of London and Westminster. 20 minutes from the centre of London via British Rail, 2 trains per hour, or Docklands Light Railway, trains every 5 minutes to the City of London and Canary Wharf. You are near the London City Airport for European flight connections

East London / West Greenwich area

Places to visit include, the Painted Hall & Chapel of the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich University. Historical sites include, Queens House, Royal Observeatory and Meridain Line, Fan Museum, Rangers House, and St Alfege's Church.

I recommend Oliver's Jazz bar in Nevada Street, open 7 nights a week all year. Rivington's restaurant & bar open all day, (part of the Caprice & Ivy restaurant group). For homemade ice creams, the lovely Buenos Aires Cafe in Royal Hill. All my recommendations offer Greenwich Holiday Lets clients a 10% discount.

How to get there

Best airport for budget airlines with easy access to Greenwich are, London City Airport, Gatwick, Luton and Stansted, (about 40 minutes by train to Greenwich).
Taxis, use Handicars for airport,or local & London pick up. 10% discount if you say you are staying with Greenwich Holiday Lets.
Pick up from Greenwich Station and taken to your house if at a reasonable hour of the day.

Easter 2007 F Egger, Germany. Dear Dawn, Thank you so much for this pretty house. We enjoyed the stay very much. In these beautiful rooms, we could feel cosy and at home. Greenwich is a lovely place, quite quite and so close to the busy centre of London. Although we have to go now..we will recommend your service in Germany to everybody.
