It boasts a Royal Park (which will be hosting the Olympic Equestrian events), the Royal Observatory with the Meridian Line (Greenwich Meantime) and Planetarium, the National Maritime Museum, the Old Royal Naval College with the Painted Hall. As well as the Maritime Museum, there is the bijoux Fan Museum, two theatres and an independent cinema - all no more than 10 minutes walk away from the apartment. The Queen's House designed by Inigo Jones houses the Maritime Museum's art collection.
Greenwich is also famous for it's covered market featuring an array of local artisans selling their wear from food to fashion. There are many boutiques in the area as well as interesting places to eat.
