Studio | No Bedrooms | sleeps 2
Tudor Close is a unique development built in the 1930's to house artists and actors working in central London, offering a healthy lifestyle choice built around a fabulous 20m outdoor swimming pool - which is still there today! On the outside, the building is mock Tudor - hence the name - but inside each of the studio apartments has it's own unique character and style.
Our beautiful studio has recently undergone a makeover and has been decorated in a funky, retro style … but with all the comforts of modern living. Once you are in, it feels like your own little haven of peace and tranquility.
The living space is a cleverly designed, with a large double mezzanine bed, leaving lots of storage space underneath to hang your clothes and put your cases out of view. This leaves the living space clear with a great velvet sofa, Ercol coffee table and sideboard and a small dining table! You'll also find a 32" plasma, with full satellite TV, an iPod/iPhone docking station with built in radio and free unlimited Wifi.
There is a small, but perfectly formed kitchenette - but when you are surrounded by so many fabulous bars and restaurants - why eat in. But if you do … the closest mini supermarket is literally across the road and there's a wonderful cafe for breakfast, just around the corner.
There is also a power shower with steaming hot water available on tap.
What makes Tudor Close unique is it's sense of character and history … as well as the truly spectacular swimming pool! When you walk through the gates (private) you really feel like you are anywhere other than central London!!!
So to the surroundings! Well Brixton has undergone massive gentrification over the last 10 years and is now one of the most bustling and trendy areas in London, from the wonderful Brixton Village to some of the best live music venues in town … Brixton Academy and Electric. There is certainly never a dull moment and you can always find something going on.
You also have Brockwell Park close by, which is great for walks and experiencing one of London's outdoor lido's … though to be honest, you have your own pool at Tudor Close.
Getting into Central London is really easy. Brixton tube station is a short 7 minute walk away, on the Victoria line, taking you to Oxford Circus in less than 15 minutes. There is also a bus stop right outside the apartment, that has a constant flow of buses taking you into different parts of Central London.
