Home description

The house is situated in historic Blackheath, one of London’s true original villages which still has a timeless quality so that is surprising to see red London buses passing through the centre. Stroll across the heath to Greenwich Park taking in one of the finest views of the Thames and the City of London, before visiting the attractions of Greenwich: the Observatory, the Royal Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House.

The area has excellent transport links: trains, buses and DLR. Trains taking 15 minutes go direct to the London Eye, the Tate Modern, Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, and nearby London’s theatre land. Europe’s major music venue the 02 is a short bus journey away.

The heath at Blackheath and Greenwich Royal Park together provide one of London’s biggest green spaces. The many visitor attractions of Greenwich are within easy walking distance of the house. A secluded footpath leads onto the heath at Blackheath and from here it is a gentle stroll across the heath into Greenwich Park to the Royal Observatory.

Before you reach the Observatory you will see one of the finest views of the Thames in London, a bend in the river with the National Maritime Museum below, looking across to the famous skyline of Canary Wharf and the City of London. The Royal Observatory, The Maritime Museum and the Queen’s House are amongst the many places that this world heritage site has to offer.
