This apartment located on the exciting SouthBank area, adjacent to the Thames River and all the interesting aspects of London including the National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall, Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, Bankside, Waterloo, The London Eye, plus many restaurants, ( eg the OXO Tower Restaurant) wine bars and cafes, to name just a few. All within walking distance.
A river boat service runs every 20 minutes at peak times from BlackFriars Bridge toward Greenwich.

From the first contact with the owner to meeting the manager of the property at the site, the service was outstanding. Nick, the owner, was patient with all my queries and more than generous with his time explaining how to use Paypal and other alternatives for payment. The property itself was very comfortable with all amenities required for a easy, happy stay. It is primarily only for two but the sofa in the lounge can be converted to a double bed and Nick did not mind us inviting a friend over for a night, at no extra charge. Breakfast and basic food supplies were on hand when we arrived so, other than milk, we were set up for the first few days. The location is absolutely wonderful. Easy walking distance to the Globe Theatre, St. Paul's Cathedral, the London Eye, Westminister and much more, with the local tube connecting with many more London attractions. Restaurants and pubs abound close to the apartment. Food stores, ATMs, post office, etc. are close by as well. The best part of the apartment was its close proximity to everything and the lovely, traffic free walk along the Queens Walk to many attractions. The main problem we had was with the shower and the lack of instruction booklets for the appliances. However, I have mentioned this to Nick and he has promised to remedy these "problems". This is a great place to stay and next time we're in London, it will be our first choice of accommodation. |
