Home description
Mayfair is an area of London that grew up in the 16 and 17 hundreds as a fashionable residential district; think shopping, think Mayfair - with the retail therapy centres of Oxford Street and Regent Street , and Piccadilly, all you need to do is fall out of bed, they're all so close to the apartment (dressing before leaving the house is recommended).
With the bonus that all around is history. Then we have Green Park and Buckingham Palace, and so the list goes on - come on and enjoy! The apartment is in a period property down a quiet little mews. You can eat al fresco on the patio, there is the master bedroom with en suite, there is a lovely fully fitted integrated kitchen, a spacious living come with dining room table and chairs. The apartment has internet access and a large flat screen TV with cable TV. The apartment has its own entrance off the Mews. There is a strict no smoking policy for this flat.

The South East England / Greater London region
South East England is jam-packed full of history and culture. There are national heritage sites such as Windsor Castle, Hampton Court. There is the Thames with a wide variety of journeys along its meandering course; within an hour's journey is Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Brighton, to name a few. Although we don't have a Mediterranean climate, the weather is generally mild.
Central London/Zone 1 / Mayfair area
Within a stone's thrown can be found bars and restaurants galore, prestige shopping, history (Buckingham Palace, House of Parliament, Museums and Art Galleries galore, Tower of London, London Eye ect ect). Everywhich way are to be found historic buildings, museums and art galleries.
The West End of London, Soho and Bloomsbury, boast 30 plus theatres so you could watch a new show every night for a month and still have some left over! There are music venues suited to every taste, street extravaganzas like the Notting Hill Carneval, regular highlights such as the Chelsea Flower Show and Wimbledon Lawn-Tennis Finals - the list goes on and on. Access to all places is easy with the very comprehensive and regular London Transport bus and subway system - even better, walk!
How to get there
Central London is very easy to get to from all of the London Airports (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stanstead) by train, bus or taxi. Mayfair itself is about as central as central can get for London, so much so that nearby Marble Arch is the point from which all distances out from London are measured. If your arrival to London is by car, there is a good network of motorways from all quarters of the country al snaking their way into central London, though motor car travel in London itself for holidaymakers is more of a hindrance than a help because of congestion charging and strict parking regulations.
If traveling by train or coach, make your way to Green Park or Hyde Park Corner subway stations, and the property is a fifteen minute walk from either station.
As with all of central London, it is far easier to get about on public transport than a hire car as there is daily congestion charge and parking charges and Mayfair is wonderfully situated for all of the sights.
