The South East England region

South East England is jam-packed full of history and culture. There are national heritage sites such as Windsor Castle, Hampton Court. There is the Thames with a wide variety of journeys along its meandering course; within an hour's journey is Oxford, Stratford upon Avon, Brighton, to name a few. Although we don't have a Mediterranean climate, the weather is generally mild.

Central London/Zone 1

Within a stone's thrown can be found bars and restaurants galore, prestige shopping (Harrod's etc.), history (Buckingham Palace, House of Parliament, Museums and Art Galleries galore, Tower of London, London Eye ect ect). The King's Road became famous as the "in" place in the 60s with many pop starts and other celebrities making it their home, and has to this day retains its special character. Every which way are to be found historic buildings, museums and art galleries.

The West End of London, Soho and Bloomsbury boast 30 plus theatres so you could watch a new show every night for a month and still have some left over! There are music venues suited to every taste, street extravaganzas like the Notting Hill Carneval, regular highlights such as the Chelsea Flower Show and Wimbledon Lawn-Tennis Finals - the list goes on and on. Access to all places is easy with the very comprehensive and regular London Transport bus and subway system - even better, walk!

"Ideal location - central but quiet"

Just spent a wonderful 9 days at this apartment and was extremely happy. The accommodation is perfect and has a very welcoming feel about it – almost like being in a friend's flat. Loved … More

"A lovely quiet place"

I stayed with a friend. We were met by Fay. She spoke in detail about the location and all types of transport. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator, but it was not a problem. the apartment is in a very quiet place. Nearby there is a café, shops, a 5-minute walk tube station. The apartment has everything you need.
Next time, I would have been happy to stay here again

This was our first experience with a rental. It was perfect !! The location, the apartment, the service from Fay!!!! Everything was there !!
We had a lot of luggage, so the only thing is that we were on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator.... But otherwise we will repeat this experience !!!!

"Great position, terrific apartment"

We are from Melbourne, Australia and have rented this apartment twice in the last 4 years. Fay is a lovely person, extremely helpful and organised and will meet you at the flat. This apartment is quite spacious has a separate bedroom and kitchen and has a balcony area that looks over rooftops. It is a very quiet block with immaculate foyer and carpeted stairwell and is in the best position imaginable . A four minute walk from Sloane Square tube and the number 11 bus to 'everywhere' at your door. There are excellent pubs and restaurants nearby and an off licence over the road. The area is very prestigious and you will trip over Bentleys and Maseratis in the nearby streets. A terrific 'farmers' market is opposite on Saturday mornings in the historical Orange square. Great home away from home. We hope to stay again.

"Great location, walk to the Palace, very quite area"

My first accomadation booked on the Internet. Arrived from Australia at 7:30am (I was smart & booked the night before so I could get in early) Fay was waiting to let me in. For value in this area of London it is fantastic. Only issue is 3rd floor no lift, but that aside it is a fantastic location, Bought a weekly travel pass & caught the No. 11 bus a couple of times a day. So funny to be walking down Fleet St and you spot a No. 11 bus and know 10 minutes & I'm home. Even though it was 2010 that I was there I've just logged on to look at what else Fay has listed for my next trip.
