"Good locale but a few minor problems"

First, let me say that both Polly, the owner, and Lilijana, who looks after the flat, were very kind. And having the kitchen stocked with tea, sugar, coffee, crackers, cookies, a bottle of wine, those… More

Firstly I would like to apologize to this guest for the shortcomings they suffered and offer them a discount if they return to the flat. Lilija and I do our best to keep the flat in good condition and the timing of this guests stay was unfortunate. All the shortcomings mentioned in the review were dealt with as a matter of course.

The flat was painted in the last week of February (this had been planned for months as it is painted regularly) and the carpets etc were professionally cleaned. Moreover, a new good quality shower curtain was put up (I agree the other one was awful...I didn't buy it).
The cockroaches have been professionally dealt with.
Moreover, we had an unusually cold winter and I have now provided new, warm blankets for all the beds.
If a guest has an issue with the flat, we always do our utmost to rectify all problems as quickly as possible. Holidays are for enjoying and we want you to love London. Best wishes, Polly

"At home in London"

My three relatives and I spent five very comfortable nights at Hyde Park W2. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the caretaker and shown around. The flat was well provisioned with the necessary washing soaps, etc. and even included a bottle of milk and a bottle of wine in the 'fridge. The flat is very conveniently located to tube stops, restaurants and London tourist sites. The owner, Polly, was very considerate when we telephoned with a problem about the washing machine and was determined to give us a satisfactory solution to our laundry problems. I would defintely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend this property.

"The best value for your money in London!"

My wife and I live in London with our two boys (ages 2 and 3). And my parents were flying out from California for a week and we all wanted to stay together. But our apartment was too small.

We searched around for holiday rentals that would fit us all, but having done this before, we knew that sometimes even 3 bedrooms in London can be a tight squeeze. So we came to Polly with the unusual request of asking to view the apartment before we committed. Right from the start she was so friendly and accommodating. And the apartment was exactly what we were looking for by way of space, cleanliness, location, and comfort.

The apartment is nice, but not so nice that we ever spent time worrying about whether we were going to break something or make a mess. Everything about it - from the high ceilings, to the furniture and amenities (great toy and dvd selections!) really makes you feel at home. The beds were really comfortable too.

The location is great - only a block and a half from Hyde Park and the Princess Diana Playground... not to mention two tube stations. You'll never wait longer than a minute to catch a cab and the currency exchange rates near Bayswater are the best in London. There are an overwhelming amount of shops and restaurants within walking distance and Polly provides a very helpful welcome pack with tips on where to go.

Keeping in mind that we rented the flat during what was by far the coldest week of winter, the only negative we can think of is that the 3rd bedroom wasn't insulated very well and we had to buy a small space heater to keep it warm at night for our boys. Were someone to stay there during a warmer part of the year (basically any week other than that week), we highly doubt it would be an issue.

Otherwise it was the perfect flat for what was a great holiday that we will never forget.

*We even locked ourselves out in the cold one night and, within two minutes, Polly had arranged for us to pick up keys from a friend about a three minute walk from the flat.
