We are located in the Bermondsey Street area in Zone 1 (the centre-most zone in London), just south of the river. The location provides a number of distinct advantages, from quick and convenient travel to easy access to London’s central shopping, tourism and business districts. For example, the heart of London shopping, Oxford Street, is located only six tube stops away. At the same time you can easily reach the main business district (the City) by foot.
Tourist attractions by MoLi London are a plenty – ranging from the classics like The London eye (a hit with all kids under 60!) to the cultural treats like the Tate Modern with its permanent Rothko fixture and treats for couples, like romantic boat rides on the Thames.
Historical attractions include the Tower of London (see www.hrp.org.uk/toweroflondon/) for an authentic feel of the Tudor times. Plenty of things to see and do for all the family. For the slightly less educational (but far more entertaining) experience, visit The London Dungeon, located just opposite the London Bridge Station. For those of you visiting with small children, there are also two small parks in the area where you can take the little ones for a bit of fresh air and a hazard-free runaround. A roomy, manicured green is located off Bermondsey Street, just after Tanner Street. Another park is located next to Bermondsey Square, off Long Lane. For the chic and glamorous traveler, there is the Fashion and Textile Museum, an unmissably bright building located at 83, Bermondsey Street. A veritable hub of contemporary fashion design, it puts effort into hosting diverse exhibitions and showcasing avant-garde designers and promising new talent. In the same vein, the Design Museum (located at Shad Thames, just off Tooley Street) is no less intriguing to the urban-pop aficionado, with interesting, creative (and often completely unusable) solutions to modern living.
The South Bank (an area generally spanning the distance between Waterloo and London bridges) is also one of the main “action” spots of London, including cinemas, arts centres and often various cultural occasions on the weekends.
How to get there
Travelling by Tube: The flat is located at the doorsteps of London Bridge Tube station, which connects two main London lines - the Jubilee and the Northern Line, along with several local rail lines for travel within the UK. Travelling by Eurostar: The flat is easily accessible from the new Waterloo hub that connects London to Paris and Brussels. Waterloo station is two stops from London Bridge Tube Station. If you arrive at Waterloo, please take the East bound Northern line train to London Bridge Tube station.
