Portobello Road is the world's largest antiques market with over 1,000 dealers selling every kind of antique and collectible. Visitors flock from all over the world to discover one of London's best loved landmarks which contains the most extensive selection of antiques in Britain. It is best to visit the market on a Saturday as not only are there antique stalls there are lots of other stalls selling clothing / jewellery / music / handmade soaps. Famous also for it's second hand clothing (Saturday's and Sunday's).
Plenty of places to grab something to eat whether this be from a stall selling paella / hot dogs / organic food, or one of the great bars / restaurants and café's lining the street. Everything is on offer from Caribbean, Sushi, Thai, Fish & Chips to fine dining. Over the last few months a farmers market has also opened selling good quality food whether to eat straight away or take home. Pop into the enclosed area with your food / drink and with no charge you can listen to new bands - great place to hang out during the day.
