The apartment is in trendy Fitzrovia, in the heart of the West End, a super central location with a villagey feel and Georgian architecture. The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighbourhood with a residential and business mix. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a trendy and vibrant buzz. There is a good range of shops and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars. Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube. Several supermarkets are close by (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall and Waitrose isn’t far).
This is great opportunity to enjoy a smart, attractive property in an wonderful and safe area. The apartment is in a secure, recently renovated, quiet block with 41 flats in Fitzrovia, W1, bordering Fitzroy Square. The flat is on the 7th floor (there's a lift ). It is set at the rear of the building (so quiet for sleeping).
The Living Room and Kitchen:
The living room has large double glazed windows. The room is painted white and has woodstrip flooring. There is a recently purchased large comfortable sofa that opens to a double sofabed, flatscreen TV/DVD with freeview, a selection of DVDs and a dining table and chairs.
The living room and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard space and a full range of integrated appliances including microwave, electric oven, hob, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The separate fridge and freezer both have good storage space. Kitchen utensils are provided. There is an iron and an ironing board.
The spacious bedroom has a neutral decor. There is a comfortable double bed, double fitted mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. There are full-length white curtains and separate blackout blinds. A hairdryer is provided. Large windows give a view on to a peaceful building and the open sky. It's a light airy flat.
If required, the sofa in the living room converts to sofabed.
We can arrange rental of a cost for an additional small fee.
The bathroom has a full-sized bath with power shower unit, handbasin, bathroom cabinet, heated towel rail and WC.
The floor is tiled and the walls are partially tiled / partially painted.

About this location
The London region
The local area is buzzing but the flat is in a quiet street so you get the best of both worlds. There’s a huge array of bars and restaurants in the area, including in nearby Charlotte Street and neighboring Soho. For entertainment, you have Theatreland close by, numerous cinemas, comedy clubs, late night bars, dancing and nightclubs. If shopping appeals, you can shop till you drop in nearby Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, Camden Market and Bond Street. They are all a walk away. For outside life, neighboring Fitzroy Square is a peaceful and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich and watch the world go by.
Alternatively, it’s a 10 minute walk to Regent’s Park, a wonderful 410-acre open space offering stylish gardens with cafés, rose and wildlife gardens, a boating lake, sports facilities, an open-air theatre and zoo.

Our week's stay was definitely enhanced by renting this flat. It was convenient to transportation, food and London attractions. The flat was light and quiet. Liz was helpful when we had questions and provided great information about the area and getting around London. Had a problem operating the washer/dryer but Liz emailed detailed directions that did the trick.
It was a no problem stay!
