Micks Mansion
About the home
Being an Aussie living in London for 6 years now I have a fairly good understanding of what travelers like and what makes your experience that much more unique. My mums Spanish and my dads Scottish so naturally I know good food and partying, and can recommend well in both of these areas. As a guest you will experience East London like a local, and will be incredibly close to everything else you could possibly want to do in London.
Centrally located in zone 1 east side, it's in walking proximity to Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Spitalfields, Borough Markets, Broadway Markets, Columbia Road Flower Markets, Tower Bridge, Tower of London, East London street art walking tours, and Jack the Ripper walking tours. The house has good lighting, security and is quietly nestled in the centre of a block, castled in from the hustle bustle of the tasty local restaurants and grills.
Aldgate East tube is 200m away.
Whitechapel tube is 200m away.
Aldgate tube is 4 min walk.
Liverpool Street tube is 8 min walk.
Loads of buses covering most of London.
Sainsbury's and Tesco's under 100m away.
Multiple Fitness First and Virgin Active gyms walking distance.
All the rooms in the house are extremely spacious. The master bedroom (19sm) has a super king sized bed, the second bedroom (14sm) has a king sized bed and there is also a spare fold out single bed. Each bedroom has their own shower & toilet, both rooms have a large amount of wardrobe & storage space, and the master bedroom has air conditioning. The ground level contains the second bedroom, shower/toilet & the kitchen so it´s suitable for elderly and less mobile people. There's 3 shared off street car spaces between 7 houses (it is outside the congestion zone charge), and local car parks charge around £13/day if you miss out on a car spot.
Housekeepers prepare fresh bed linen before you arrive, and you're welcome to use any fresh towels, washing powder etc. to save you organising that yourself. You will have exclusive use of the well equipped kitchen, and you are welcome to use anything on the shelves, dry store and pantry. Having meals at home requires zero planning as Tescos is next door.
I rent the top 2 floors of the house (the top two floors constitute a giant 1 bedroom house), & I stay in the lower ground level (you will never be sharing with randoms). If anyone wants to rent the whole house I just move to a mates house for that period. The lower ground level contains the master bedroom + en suite and has its own separate entrance to the courtyard so you have total privacy just using the top two floors.
I will consider 2 night stays if its less than a week away, if there is a 2 day gap between existing bookings, or if you are interested in using the whole house.
Wifi is free, and we have the full Sky sports tv package.
Treat yourself - I have an Aussie male sports masseur who'll come to Micks Mansion at a time that suits you. He specialises in sports, deep tissue & relaxation massage. £40/hr or £20/30 mins payable to him on the day. Call Midda on +447583519353 to book in advance or on the day.
TRANSIT TIPS:
Pre book a minicab and bargain a pre arranged price (far cheaper than getting a cab at the airport). Call all 3 and bargain for best price: +442077902121 / +442077901000 / +442073752687.

The apartment is very comfortable, very well equipped and clean. It is central located close to all services (metro, shops, restaurants, ...). Communication with the owner was excellent and fast return of the deposit. We had a great family holiday. Thank you. PS : Game console with all the games of the 1980s (Pacman , Space Invaders, ...) was really funny. |
