The South East England region
London is the Capital of the UK and the best city in the World (need I say more...)
Central London/Zone 1
Situated within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Kensington is a western region of London that is less than three miles away from the centre of the city.
It is and always has been a wealthy area, no doubt to the delights of its inhabitants. Kensington Church Street is filled with quaint antique shops, book shops and cafes, while Kensington High Street is rather more mainstream with high street clothing retailers and a giant version of uber-organic purveyors Whole Foods; perhaps that goes some way towards explaining why the residents of Kensington have the UK’s highest life expectancy.
As well as being an attractive location to visit in its own right, Kensington is also a neighbour of other popular areas such as Earls Court, Shepherd’s Bush and Hammersmith. South Kensington is also well known for its many museums which attract a high volume of tourists, every year.
