The Apartment's central location is within easy travelling distance of many of England's famous tourist attractions, such as the Royal Borough of Windsor and Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world and is one of the official residences of Her Majesty the Queen. Day excursions to the City of Bath, occupied at one time by the Romans and Stonehenge, probably one of the most recognisable monuments in the world erected some 4000 years ago and which never fails to amaze many of the visitors who come to see it for themselves. Spend a days excursion to the historic Dockyard at Portsmouth to see Lord Nelson's famous ship HMS Victory, the oldest ship still in commision with the Royal Navy launched in 1765, it's claim to fame being the historic Battle of Trafalga or King Henry VIII's Tudar flagship The Mary Rose, built between 1505 and 1511. Spend a couple of days exploring Scotland and it's unique scenery or a City break to Paris, a short 2 hour Chunnel Train journey on Eurostar from London St. Pancras International which is only 20 minutes by tube from London Bridge Station. This comfortable, fully-equipped appartment is perfect as a base when visiting London. The Bermondsey underground station is just a short walk away and London Bridge only 15 minutes walk away. The terrace is perfect for enjoying your breakfast as it is brilliant for relaxing after a long day on your feet, as you tend to walk a lot in London. The owners, Janet and Peter are very friendly and they give you all the informations you need toghether with a detailed map of the area along the Thames. They even provide basic provisions such as a selection of cereals, bread, butter,tea, coffee and milk, which was perfect since we arrived late. The apartment was the best place we ever stayed in London, and when we come back, we will for sure stay in this wonderful apartment again. |
