Our wonderful open plan reception and kitchen area opens out through large glass sliding doors to a private patio. Step up to a fantastic 70ft walled garden and enjoy dining on the terrace.

- This is a grand Victorian terrace house spilt into two beautiful apartments. Each has its own front door to the street. Victoria Garden Apartment has direct access, via sliding glass doors to a private patio and shares the large walled garden with our 4-bed apartment above.

"The convenience of inner city living without the hassle of living in the city."

The location of the apartment is perfect for exploring London. 5 minutes walk to the tube station. 15 minutes to Central London by tube. For a more leisurely journey, take any one of the many buses that also go into London from the end of the street. There is a mini cab office at the end of the street and black taxis cruise Holloway Rd.
Hampstead and Highgate are also very close by bus and well worth a visit.
The apartment location is very handy for St Pancras and Eurostar trains and is also relatively easy to get too (50 minutes, change trains just once) by tube from Heathrow.
The apartment is in a very quiet and safe street within walking distance of a vast selection of pubs, restaurants, take aways, supermarkets etc.
The apartment is the basement apartment in an typical older London terraced house and despite the unusually wet weather in London in January, was warm, dry and cosy.
The apartment is compact, but has adequate space for 4 people. The outside courtyard provides additional space to sit and relax (if it is not raining) and would be perfect during the warmer months.
Carolyn was very understanding when our travel plans were disrupted resulting in us overstaying by half a day and was very easily contactable during our stay.
I would recommend the apartment as an ideal base to explore Central London and the historic inner northern suburbs.

"Very Comfortable, Cosy and Conveniently Located - We Will Stay Again!"

This was 1 of 4 apartments we stayed on our trip to Europe, so we had quite a bit to compare to. We checked in, after dark, to a warm, brightly lit, freshly cleaned and very welcoming apartment. We had a family of 5. Sleeping very comfortable with the sofa bed in the living room. The single beds in the 2nd room were narrower than what we are used to but we adjusted. Heating was perfectly set - no complaints from our demanding kids!

Bathroom was modern, very well maintained. The heating rack was great. We came from an apartment in Edinburgh where these basics were not in place, so we did not take this for granted.

Kitchen was well equipped. We had everything we needed for simple meals. The pantry had a selection of spices, tea, coffee etc - this was very helpful. We appreciated the welcome basket of eggs, milk, fruit and bread. Would have been good to have a waste bin though - we made do with plastic bags.

There was a good selection of DVD's (we had Despicable Me running all week!), games, books and London travel information - this was appreciated when we got home in the evenings. WiFi was very reliable and unlimited - a must-have for travelling! Instructions were detailed and clear.

Location was great. We were 5 mins walk from Archway Tube station and buses. Groceries were easy - 2 mins up the street. We enjoyed the different available food options.

This was really a first class experience. Carolyn always responded quickly to all our queries leading up to the stay. We would stay here again if visiting London and thoroughly recommend this.

"comfortable, well appointed, close to station"

We were welcomed with a basket of goodies in a unit that was clean, well appointed and warm. There was also good natural light, comfortable beds and good linen.
Beyond the control of the owner was the unit above - the laundry was directly above the main bedroom with a washing machine that sounded like a team of horses. But it didn't last too long. All in all, the unit was a nice little haven to return to at the end of each day.

Thank you for your kind and very useful feedback. We can install sound insulation under the washing machine upstairs to ensure guests are not disturbed in future. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and do hope you will come again.

"Good location for a family exploring London"

Cosy apartment, very well equipped, close to tube. All in all it was perfect for a family exploring London. Be aware of parking fee - you need to pay, but it can be done online via Islington's municipality.

BANKING FEES: We state very clearly on this Website advert(Prices), on our Terms & Conditions,all Invoices/Receipts "We accept payment nett of banking fees via Paypal or by Direct Bank Transfer". This is because international guests use different banks, each of which have different money transfer arrangements. We prefer PayPal which is instant and secure at a cost to us and our international guests of just 1.8%. Paypal money transfers within the UK are free.

Our fee policy was explained three times in depth and detailed statements supplied to this guest, who struggled with internet communications and banking. It is a shame that her tiny (1.8%) banking fee has clouded her pleasant holiday memories.
