For a single person or 2 people this one bedroomed apartment is ideal in a private gated block converted only 5 years ago. In the courtyard is a cycle store, gated refuse storage, courtyard with SW aspect. The apartment is compact, light and airy with high ceilings and 3 tall windows. The solid wood front door opens into the living area and with separate fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
The apartment is secure, modern and tastefully furnished with oak floors. It is fully equipped. The greatest advantage is its Central Location. Literally almost every major London attraction is accessible by walking as well as being on the train, tube or bus routes the stops for which are 2 minutes walk away from the flat.

Sweeps apartment is 5 years old and approx 35 sqm. There is a flat screen tv in living room with DVD player. High speed broadband. Bedlinen, towels, soap, shampoo, tea, coffee and milk and end of stay cleaning is included in the price.
Ideally the flat is for 2 people but a small extra person could sleep on the sofa for an extra cost.
Leather Lane buzzes in the week and is very quiet at weekends. There are coffee shops opposite and various facilities and services along this interesting old street. Two minutes walk away is Holborn High Street with is great variety of architecture and retail facilities and Hatton garden the mecca for jewellery -a favourite for couples.
Leather Lane is proud of its heritage and weekday market ( 10am to 4pm Mon to Friday only) selling foods, clothes and trinkets.
Parking is free at weekends on and near leather Lane but there are several official car parks in walking distance.

Sweeps is in a gated site built by Dewent developers in 2006 to a high standard. It is secure and has a contained tree lined courtyard with uplighting on the trees. The cycle store is available. The access to the main building is enclosed and secure. The access to the apartments is also secure on a top floor corridor. The lift operates from the front ground floor access directly to the apartment.
Parking on Leather Lane is possible at weekend and there are several National Car Parks in the vicinity.
The area is within the congestion charge zone.
We cannot accommodate pets. The buiding is non smoking inside.
The property's weekend rates apply to Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
A non-refundable 25% deposit is required at the time of reservation/booking. The balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
Cancellation terms agreed on reservation/booking.
Arrangements for overseas guests are made personally and tailor made for requirements where possible.
For some short lets a separate security deposit cheque of £150 will be required when the full balance is paid and will be destroyed/refunded within 10 days of your departure, subject to satisfactory property inspection. This cheque is not cashed.
We have Bed and Breakfast facilities in our Hertfordshire home near Heathrow, Luton and Stanstead for those guest not able to get to the flat until their arrival date or who need a base for a few nights outside London.
It is possible to pay in Euros.
Long lets are welcome, conditions negotiable.

The South East England region
London is a fascinating capital city. London contains four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the site comprising the Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey and St. Margaret's Church; and the historic settlement of Greenwich. Other famous landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, 30 St Mary Axe ("The Gherkin"), St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge and Trafalgar Square. London is home to numerous museums, galleries, libraries, sporting events and other cultural institutions including the British Museum, National Gallery, British Library, Wimbledon and 40 theatres. London's Chinatown is the largest in Europe.
Farringdon, Holborn and Chancery Lane are key locations for the City, the financial and legal centres of London. The flat is central for all old City haunts, Dr Johnson's house, Fleet Street, the embankment, the Globe theatre, the Thames, the West End, The London Eye, the South Bank and every communication route possible. The Olympic Village is 20 mins away.
IHigh Holborn road is an artery of communication to the West End, Westminster, Oxford St, Leicester Sq and all the entertainment areas of London.
Central London/Zone 1
Sweeps Apartment is in the City of London and has historic links with the Silversmiths and Goldsmiths of Hatton Garden, with other ancient trades to do with Leather work- hence Leather Lane, and is in the heart of the Legal and Banking districts with numerous Inns of Court, the Old Bailey, ancient Heritage sites and interesting old streets like Fleet Street and its little passages and alleyways are nearby. Dickens' Old Curiosity Shoppe is around the corner.
There are many walks organised here. The old villages of Clerkenwell and Farringdon on the Fleet river are just 5 minutes away.
The area is close to all communication routes by tube, train an bus. The Olympic Village is 20 minutes away by bus/train/tube.
It is possible to walk across Holborn, Fleet street and the Strand to the Embankment in 15 minutes and onto one of the many London Bridges for access to the South bank, the Tate Gallery, The Globe Theatre, St Pauls and Millenium Bridge andThe Tower of london and it is only a short ride from the apartment to the West End theatresand Oxford Street.
The City and the Universities are equally easy to reach.
It is possible to get on one of London's Boris Bikes right at the end of Leather Lane and travel wherever you would like to. The secure gated courtyard in the Sweeps apartment building means you can 'come home for lunch' and your bike hire can be continuous and is secure.
