The Den London is fantastic apartment in Central London which has everything you could ever wish for during your stay in the Capital, including a Separate Bathroom with Large Modern Shower, Washing Machine, Microwave, Gas Stove/Hob, Crockery & Cutlery, TV with DVD and Netflix, Wi-Fi, iPod Doc, a Juicer, and an Espresso Machine.

We offer direct access to Netflix from the TV with access to thousands of movies & TV episodes available to watch instantly for no additional charge.

The Den's Complimentary Welcome Pack includes Pain au Chocolat, Chilled Orange Juice, Tea, Coffee, Milk, Laundry Powder, and Soap.

Fresh towels and linen are also supplied for your stay.

We also provide guests with two Transport for London 'Oyster' cards for use during their stay on London's Trains, Tubes, Buses and Ferrys. When credit is added to the card, travel in London is approximately HALF PRICE and quicker than buying individual tickets whilst getting out and seeing everything London has to offer!

A short walk to Vauxhall Station, you have one of London's best transport hubs at your fingertips, including Trains, Ferrys, London Underground and many bus routes.

The South East England region

For a bird's-eye view of London, take a spin on the famous and breathtaking London Eye, the Ferris Wheel overlooking the Thames, which is approximately a 30 minute walk from the apartment. Big Ben and Victoria are also approximately 30 minutes by foot.

Just over Vauxhall bridge, you will find the Tate Britain gallery. The Tate holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to present day. You can reach the Tate Britain in around 20 minutes on foot, and can also connect to the Tate-to-Tate boat service which connects the Tate Britain to the Tate Modern on London's South Bank, which houses a fantastic collection of international modern art.

Don't miss landmarks like the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and the Globe Theatre. Spend a day at the Tate Modern or shopping along Portobello Road in Notting Hill. See the Cabinet War Rooms that housed Winston Churchill's WWII bunker and watch the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. Built up a thirst? Then have a pint in a pub or visit a famous London tea room.

Central London/Zone 1

Vauxhall is a very convenient and central base for visiting London. It is in walking distance to many of the famous sites the Capital has to offer, and also provides excellent London Underground/Tube, Train and Bus links. The River Thames is also very close, with Vauxhall located on its banks and the new St George Wharf where you can take a ferry to Embankment (for Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden and The Strand) in under 10 minutes.

There are several Supermarkets conveniently located close to the flat. A Tesco Metro is a 2 minute walk away, and there is a very large Sainsbury's Supermarket only a 5 minute walk away.

'The Gym - Vauxhall' 6a St Georges Wharf SW8 is open 24 hours a day and only a 10 minute walk away from the flat. Day passes are available at £5/per day which can be purchased at www.thegymgroup.com or at the gym itself.

"Clean, Comfortable and Excellent Value"

My husband and I stayed at The Den for a week.The flat is perfect for a single person or couple.It is small but well organized.It was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay.It is a short walk to a large supermarket and just minutes away from a smaller store.Vauxhall subway is less than a ten minute walk away and a bus stop is just around the corner.The owner provides 2 Oyster cards which when loaded provides a substantial reduced transit rate.We had 2 excellent dinners in neighbourhood restaurants....Hot Stuff, an Indian Restaurant on Wilcox Rd. and Estrela Bar, a Portugese Restaurant on Lambeth.We would highly recommend The Den as a place to stay when visiting London.

"A perfect home away from home"

The flat was clean and cute and close to everything we wanted to do in London. The secure building made us feel safe, and Rob was a good landlord. I could have used more instruction on how to use things, being from a country where everything doesn't operate from a separate wall switch (hint: the switch to the cooker is behind the microwave), but that is a small quibble. The neighborhood and the building were nice and quiet. I would definitely stay there again.

If you are walking there: take the Wandsworth road exit from Vauxhall underground station and keep going in the same direction, past St. George's Wharf. The road splits after a while: take the left branch and keep walking. You will pass the South Bank Club fitness center and a Domino's pizza. Turn right on the corner directly after the Domino's (Cowthorpe Rd.). Andrew Place is the next road in. The walk takes about 20 minutes.

"Comfortable, clean and close enough to the centre"

We had a very pleasent stay in this cosy studio appartment during our visit to London last month. We arrived late from the airport and Rob (the owner) was still waiting for us to check us in and get us set up with keys etc.
It is quite small but has everything you would need for a few days in London. There were even tea bags in the cupboard! It was filled with little space saving items eg a small ironing board that hung from the counter under the table.
Bed was comfortable with clean sheets. iPod dock beside the bed for music and to charge your phone.
A secure appartment requiring a code to a front gate, a code for the building and 2 keys to gain acces. Very quiet area also as it is tucked away behind the main road with no traffic and just some people coming and going from the building.
10 minute walk to the Underground station at Vauxhall. Also 10 minutes away from the Vauxhall bus station. If you are coming from Gatwick airport the best way to get there is the train to Victoria then the Underground to Vauxhall.
All in all a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to an expensive hotel. No hassle in organising it and all done through PayPal for peace of mind. Deposit was returned within a day.

"Best London accommodation"

Choosing this apartment was probably one of the best decisions I've made regarding our trip to London. I fell in love with it by simply looking at the photos and was impressed to see that the photos were not just a tourist trap, but what we actually got.
The apartment is really close to Vauxhall station (5 min walk) so we found it in a heartbeat. Jamie was absolutely adorable, made us feel right at home. The apartment was spotless, fully equipped, perfect for 2 people.
I didn't expect my first London experience to be this good, and I will surely make The Den my home away from home whenever I'm in London.

"Very nice flat"

The apartment was very clean and lovely, and Jamie who was there to welcome us was very nice. It was a quiet apartment and the only thing making a noise was the boiler, but once we turned the heat down it didn't bother us at all. They provided us with earplugs, but we really didn't need them. The apartment wasn't big but it had everything we needed. Our holiday went very smoothly and we had no problems staying there. We would definately stay there again.
