This property is set in a charming and extremely central borough within London's zone one. Moments from the Regent's Canal, with a vast range of amenities and attractions nearby. This area is one of the most coveted in the capital attracting families and wealthy young professionals alike. Within a short distance of The City financial district or the West End, Burgh Street is an oasis of calm just moments from the centre of the action. A brief stroll to Upper Street provides you with a fantastic selection of restaurants, cinemas, supermarkets and all the boutiques you could wish for.

The property itself is set on an archetypal and highly attractive Islington Street with its white painted façades and exposed brick work. A couple of steps will lead you up to the red painted front door and into the brightly carpeted entrance hall. The kitchen has an immaculate white Corian work surface and copper coloured cabinets. Complete with all the modern amenities this kitchen also boasts an in-built coffee machine, a Quooker boiling water tap and other integral appliances all of which are top of the range. As you walk through to the dining area your view is extended out to the back of the garden and past the glass dining table which comfortably seats 8. This room is very light and feels spacious due to the glass skylights and the glass bi-folding doors of the extension. In this room there is a huge wall mounted flat screen TV with surround sound and a sofa, perfect for the evening cinema experience.

The garden has patio paving throughout making for a delightful outside space, so essential for families and very enjoyable in the summer. There is outdoor furniture and lighting, perfect for enjoying al fresco dining, a children's play house and many pot plants lining the walls.

Back up past the drawing room you will find the first half landing with its contemporary family bathroom with its iridescent mosaic tiles, shower over the bath, WC and sink. Up to the first floor are the first two family bedrooms, one of which has 2 bunk beds and is ideal for children as the room is furnished with an array of books and toys. The next room is the ensuite master bedroom which has double aspect semi-circular sash windows, typical of Islington architecture, which make the room incredibly light and airy. There is plenty of storage with the in-built wardrobes and there is a separate armchair and a bedside table. Leading off this room and up a step is the modern and recently refurbished ensuite with its walk in power shower (complete with an additional hand held shower head), a WC and basin.

The top floor houses another two double guest bedrooms. The first of these is finished to a high standard with wardrobes, an array of book shelves and bedside tables. The second bedroom is a spacious study with a double sofa bed which can sleep a further two people.

Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London and includes the busy Upper Street district a 5 minute walk from the property. Islington is famous for its nightlife, with theatres (Almeida, Sadler's Wells) and cinemas offering an impressive choice to rival the West End. A shopper's delight, Upper Street is also home to an extensive array of designer boutiques and high street stores. Picturesque Camden Passage, just moments away from Burgh Street, is home to intriguing vintage and antiques shops, delis and boutiques.

Definitely an area for the foodie too, Islington caters to all tastes, playing host to cafes and restaurants offering cuisine from all around the world. The area is popular with celebrities and politicians - the former Prime Minister Tony Blair lived here. Do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets.

To the east, you might like to walk along the canal to a few riverside cafes and restaurants and on to the quirky and lively Broadway Market (great for buying fresh produce on a Saturday) then to London Fields and Victoria Park. Alternatively, a short walk to the southeast will deliver you to the trendy and vibrant Hoxton and Shoreditch areas offering yet more opportunities for nightlife and weekend market browsing, including the not-to-be-missed Columbia Road flower market every Sunday morning throughout the year.

From Angel underground station, transport links are plentiful to take you anywhere in London and beyond; Tottenham Court Road / Oxford Street, Covent Garden and Soho are reachable in under 15 minutes, or Bank, at the heart of the 'Square Mile' (The City), in 6 minutes. Kings Cross - St Pancras, terminal for the Eurostar to Paris and Brussels, is just one tube stop away.

Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London that stretches from Islington High Street to Highbury Fields and includes the busy Upper Street district. There are a plethora of charming homes which cater perfectly for both small and large families. Dating back to the Domesday Book and predominantly built during the 19th century, it boasts some of the most elegant Georgian terraced streets and Victorian squares in the city including Lonsdale Square which has a beautiful garden at its centre.

With a mixture of cultural shops, pubs and cafés, Islington is a favourite drinking and dining spot for many. The high street, historically located along Camden Passage in the village of Islington, has since been eclipsed by the more modern Upper Street, although people will still head here for the antiques market and boutiques. You'll find intriguing vintage shops nestled between the fashionable shops in this area, and do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets. Islington is definitely an area for the foodie too, with cuisine from all around the world on offer.

There's a fantastic arts scene in Islington - also known as the capital's alternative theatre land - and it caters for both movie buffs and theatre lovers alike. There is an independent cinema and two reputable theatres in the area, notably Sadler's Well's which showcases world-class dance, the Almeida Theatre or the Little Angel Theatre for performances to entertain the children.

For couples or families wanting a unique city break in an area packed with style and close to the centre, Islington is a great choice.
