This property is set in a charming area near the Regent's Canal, with many canal-side cafes and restaurants nearby. Walk to Upper Street for a further selection of eateries, cinemas, supermarkets, boutiques, and a shopping mall. From Angel station you'll be at Oxford Street/ Tottenham Court Rd in 15 minutes.
The living room features a traditional fireplace, a large mirror, leather sofa, chaise longue and a couple of armchairs. Towards the back of this room is lovely formal dining area, with a glass dining table and another feature fireplace and some bookshelves. Spend some quality time in this bright and airy space and feel the owner's passion for comfort and a tranquil lifestyle.
The kitchen is situated at the back of the house. It's well-equipped and really bright (well-lit through a generous skylight and windows) and looks onto the garden, which is a great place for an al fresco experience. The kitchen is also big enough to hold a little table and chairs - perfect for a morning coffee, or an informal meal.
Upstairs you'll find the 2 bedrooms and bathroom. The master double bedroom has warm burgundy tones, and the second bedroom is decorated in white with ivory and light oak furniture. The family bathroom serves both these rooms.
Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London includes the busy Upper Street district, which is about a 15 minute walk away. Islington is famous for its nightlife, theatres (Almeida, Sadler's Wells) and offers an impressive choice to rival the West End on popular Upper Street - with cafes, restaurants, boutiques, a shopping mall and a couple of cinemas. It is popular with celebrities and politicians and the former Prime Minister Tony Blair lived here.
You'll find intriguing vintage shops nestled between the fashionable shops in this area, and do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets. Islington is definitely an area for the foodie too, with cuisine from all around the world on offer.
To the East, you might like to walk along the Canal to a few riverside cafes/ restaurants which are less than a 10 minute walk and on along to the quirky and vibrant Broadway Market (great for buying fresh produce on a Saturday) and on to London Fields and Victoria Park. From Angel station, you can reach Tottenham Court Road/ Oxford Street, and Covent Garden and Soho in about 20 minutes.
The back of the garden shares a wall with the garden of the neighbouring local pub. Even in summer months, the owner quite happily enjoys time in her own garden, without disturbance, but we'd like to make guests aware of this. Given the English weather, we doubt many people will be in the garden next door in winter months!
The owner will lock one of her bedrooms in the property. So guests are gaining living/kitchen/general space in keeping with a 3 bedroom house (while only 2 bedrooms are being offered).

The London region
Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London that stretches from Islington High Street to Highbury Fields and includes the busy Upper Street district. There are a plethora of charming homes which cater perfectly for both small and large families. Dating back to the Domesday Book and predominantly built during the 19th century, it boasts some of the most elegant Georgian terraced streets and Victorian squares in the city including Lonsdale Square which has a beautiful garden at its centre.
With a mixture of cultural shops, pubs and cafés, Islington is a favourite drinking and dining spot for many. The high street, historically located along Camden Passage in the village of Islington, has since been eclipsed by the more modern Upper Street, although people will still head here for the antiques market and boutiques. You'll find intriguing vintage shops nestled between the fashionable shops in this area, and do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets. Islington is definitely an area for the foodie too, with cuisine from all around the world on offer.
There's a fantastic arts scene in Islington - also known as the capital's alternative theatre land - and it caters for both movie buffs and theatre lovers alike. There is an independent cinema and two reputable theatres in the area, notably Sadler's Well's which showcases world-class dance, the Almeida Theatre or the Little Angel Theatre for performances to entertain the children.
For couples or families wanting a unique city break in an area packed with style and close to the centre, Islington is a great choice.
