8261-Elegant 3 bed townhouse, Hamble Road, Fulham
Townhouse | 3 bedrooms | sleeps 5
ocated by the River Thames and in close proximity to a couple of wonderful river-side parks, this three bed property has all the quintessential charm needed to complete your visit to Britain's capital city. Located on a peaceful residential street, just off the fashionable Wandsworth Bridge Road, and within walking distance of high-end restaurants, shops and supermarkets at Imperial Wharf and Fulham, this home is comfortably equipped for all your needs.
The approach to the property reveals its attractive Victorian façade, in keeping with the rest of the street and typical of this borough which is very popular with both travellers and London residents alike.
On entering the property you step into the hallway with its attractive period features decorating the walls. The front room is perfectly sized for a family with its antique furniture and comfortable seating. The building's original fireplace is one of the main highlights of the room alongside the dining table and designer ottoman decorating the centre of the living room. The décor very much resonates that of an English country home and this is continued throughout the property.
The kitchen, at the back of the house, contains all the modern amenities you might need during your stay as well as a kitchen table for a more informal meal. Leading out towards the back of the house is a generously sized garden stretching back and a perfect space for any children to stretch their legs. There is a loo on this floor too.
Leading upstairs are the two double bedrooms and one single bedroom with its own in-built sink. The attractive master bedroom is located at the front of the house looking out over the quiet residential street and is complete with a double bed and a huge amount of cupboards for storage. The second double is still well sized and looks out over the garden with an antique cupboard. The single bedroom is located at the back of the house and has a lovely view of the garden and out over the neighbourhood. There is a family bathroom also located on this floor.
This home is located within a short 5 minute walk from the River Thames and the glorious walks along the popular 'Thames Path' that this picturesque part of the city offers. Imperial Wharf station is a short 5 minute walk away where there are trendy waterside pubs and restaurants (including the awarding-winning Thai restaurant 'Blue Elephant' and the 'Sands End Pub' frequented by some junior Royals!). From here, you can reach parts of Kensington and Knightsbridge in 15 minutes. On your doorstep is also a great selection of buses which will transport you straight up to Chelsea and the fashionable Fulham and King's Road with their mixture of fine dining and more reasonable priced restaurants, boutiques, supermarkets and cinemas.

The South East England region
Fulham is a green and affluent suburb within close reach of many famously extravagant places such as Chelsea and Kensington too. There are ample parks and open spaces such as Fulham Palace Gardens, Eel Brook Common and Parsons Green which are the largest, and where you'll often see runners, cyclists and families picnicking in the summer months.
Most of the residential roads in Fulham are lined with trees and the houses are often painted in different pastel shades. Fulham Palace is a beautiful medieval building and offers a delightful Tudor courtyard, an 18th century garden hosting contemporary sculptures and a museum which houses the Palace's history.
You are rarely far from a decent gastro pub with favourites The White Horse – affectionately known as 'the Sloaney Pony' - and Aragon House both close by in Parsons Green. The corner of Lillie Road by Munster Road hosts a number of boutique antique shops, and has been dubbed 'Munster Village' after the Victorian and Edwardian houses situated along its pretty streets. There are a number of organic food shops, coffee bars and restaurants which make the area very appealing to professionals, couples and families looking for a slightly quieter stay, without compromising on style or local amenities.
Nearby New Kings Road also boasts some exclusive interior design shops and galleries, particularly as it begins to merge with the Kings Road towards Chelsea. Fulham is also a great area for sports lovers who can enjoy a variety of Premier League venues with Fulham Football Club, Chelsea Football Club and Queens Park Rangers all based in the neighbourhood.
