A stunning family home located in the leafy and affluent neighbourhood of Clapham. Offering guests five bedrooms and three bathrooms there is ample room for a large family or even two smaller families. In less than five minutes you can walk to Clapham South underground station which connects the Northern Line.
Walk through the front door and into the entrance hallway. On your left you will find a delightful, light and airy living area. There is a stunning fireplace, wooden floors, coffee table, two large comfy sofas, sumptuous lounging chair and a flat screen television. It is the perfect space to relax in after a day in London. Further to this there is a separate area, away from the main living space which hosts a desk and an array of reading material – the perfect place to catch up on any work or research. Outside the living area, off the hallway is the downstairs toilet.
Behind the living area is a quite remarkable kitchen and dining space. So remarkable that it has been featured in '25 Best Homes Magazine.' It stretches the entire width of the house, is modern and finished to an incredibly high specification. There is a large island which features a modern Induction hob and six bar stools, making it the perfect spot to enjoy breakfast or a less formal dinner. The kitchen boasts a large dining table, which comfortably seats six people making this a great room for socialising and entertaining in. The appliances are all from the high-end German manufacturer – Gaggenau. There is a large oven and combi steam oven too.
Immediately outside the kitchen is a fantastic private garden which provides wonderful outside space for guests of all ages to enjoy. The decked area has a good sized table with chairs, perfect for alfresco dining during the warmer summer months. There is a BBQ and even a trampoline to keep the children thoroughly entertained.
Upstairs the theme of fine, modern finishing continues. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and owing to the large windows is incredibly light and airy. There are built in shelves and plenty of storage space. The master also benefits from a glorious en-suite which features bath, shower, sink and toilet.
Further to the master bedroom there are a further three double rooms on this floor, all of which are a good size and well furnished. The fifth bedroom has a versatile single bed which holds a second single underneath. This can be pulled out to make an excellent twin room. Guests in these bedrooms have a choice of bath and shower room or a shower room to use. In summary, five bedrooms and three bathrooms ensure all guests are well catered for in the bathing and sleeping department in this charming Clapham home.

Northcote Road, just a 10 minute walk away, has a fantastic selection of shops, bars and restaurants with lots of different cuisines on offer. You'll also find antiques markets and vintage shops to browse, cafes to enjoy coffee and cake, and toy shops for the kids too. There are some boutique and luxury shops along this stretch, Jamie Oliver's Recipease store and there's a market on Saturdays with clothes and organic foods.
You also have upmarket Chelsea just over the river and the famous King's Road with its fine dining restaurants, bars and pubs. Head to South Kensington for the Museums - Natural History, Victoria & Albert and Science Museums, and to Notting Hill for the famous Portobello Road markets where you'll find clothes, leather goods, furs, jewellery, antiques, street food and lots more.
For transport, it is less than a 5 minute walk to Clapham South tube station, which joins the Northern line. This line can take you to Leicester Square for the West End in 20 minutes and to Tottenham Court Road for shopping (this turns into Oxford Street) in 20 minutes too. To get to Covent Garden and the markets, it will take you less than 30 minutes.
Please note this is a family home. There are small amounts of decorative work scheduled in certain bedrooms to be undertaken in September 2013. So any guests staying in the property in August 2013 should note that the a few of the bedrooms require a fresh coat of paint. This is purely aesthetic and does nothing to affect the charm this property exudes.
The top floor room/6th bedroom is reached via a fixed suspended staircase and would not be suitable for particularly young children or those with mobility issues.

The South East England region
Clapham is a hub of activity, with a great range of restaurants, busy bars and cafes. On the high street, there is everything for an evening out, from steakhouses, to clubs, to independent cinemas, and many bars in between. Venn Street, near the Common, is a cobbled side street and home to Venn St Records, a quirky bar with a relaxed vibe and live music and restaurants with many different types of food.
Head to Clapham Common in the summer for a picnic or towards Clapham Junction there is another fantastic collection of eateries and drinking spots. Popular chains such as Vodka Revolutions doesn't take away from the many one-off bars in the area, and on Saturdays you'll find market stalls and antique markets to explore. Stroll along Northcote Road and you'll find many trendy bars and restaurants, including The Bank in a beautiful period building, and upmarket boutiques as well as gelato shops, delicatessens and many upmarket interior design shops.
Clapham is a popular area for those in their twenties and early thirties, as well as families, with many large Victorian townhouses and both Clapham and Wandsworth Commons nearby. The neighbourhood known as 'Between the Commons' is home to some lovely family homes. Nearby Clapham Junction is a large transport hub, with direct trains to Victoria and central London as well as to Gatwick Airport and other parts of the UK.
