Conveniently located in the centre of London, within a minute's walk of the British Museum and just 5 minutes to Covent Garden and 10 minutes walk to Soho and the theatre district. This beautiful apartment is just perfect for those who want to be close to many of London's top attractions.

The property sits on the top floor of a period building and enjoys privacy and a lovely aspect. Guests should note there are 3 flights of stairs from street level (and no lift). The modern interior of the hallway and staircase is a fitting preparation for the interior of this modern city apartment.

The hallway and interior staircase are decorated with pretty stained glass flowers and, on reaching the landing, the walls are decorated with ornate pottery plates and artworks. To the right, the master bedroom, with a large built in mirrored cupboard and high ceiling is well lit with original sash windows, and the double bed is centrally situated with a second cupboard to the right and a comprehensive bookcase on the right wall.

Moving along the landing the second bedroom contains a double futon and a large sash window, a mobile wardrobe and shelf space. Alternatively, this space can be used as an office come study with a desk available, as there is an alternative sleeping area.

The very high ceilings in the open plan sitting room and dining area create a spacious feel and the modern kitchen has all the appliances to make self catering very easy. A narrow glass sided staircase leads up to a mezzanine level to the right of the living space which can be used as a sleeping space with a double mattress. Windows on both sides of the building, combined with a roof window, flood the room with light and make this top floor apartment an extremely attractive place to retire after a long day's sight-seeing.

The stylish bathroom contains a shower and wc, has modern fittings and is arranged over a couple of levels making it quite unusual. And, it is a real dream to step out of the shower onto the heated floor! The light from two high roof windows gives you a lot of good natural light.

Flower boxes in all windows give the window views a natural touch. The abundance of light throughout the property makes for a very fresh interior and the wood floors throughout give a modern finish.

Whatever it is you plan to do during your stay in London, you will be right in the heart of things here in the famous West End. The location is so central you'll be able to save on travel costs as most attractions are within walking distance. You can see the entrance to the British Museum from the apartment and it's less than a minute away. Soho, Covent Garden and the majority of London's theatres are within a 10 minute walk.

The shops of Oxford Street, and Regent Street and theatres of Covent Garden are just a short walk away and there is a huge selection of world class eateries, galleries and other tourist attractions in the area. You can walk down to the Royal Academy, Piccadilly, Fortnum & Mason and the upmarket streets of St James' for a spot of shopping in 20 minutes. Oxford St is 5 minutes walk away and the designer shops on Bond Street are about a 15 minute walk.

If you wish to travel further afield, Holborn underground station (Central and Piccadilly lines) and Tottenham Court Road underground station (Central and Northern lines) are a 5 minute walk away. For example, take the Central line to Notting Hill in 10 minutes or shoot down to Knightsbridge (for Harrods and Harvey Nichols) on the Piccadilly line in 10 minutes. Alternatively, there are bus routes leading directly to Knightsbridge, King's Cross rail station, Leicester Square amongst many other well known areas of London.

Oxford Street is known far and wide as high street heaven and the mecca of shopping in the British Capital. Following the route of a Roman road, this must-see street is nearly a mile and a half long and has over 300 shops for your retail pleasure. Europe's largest Disney store will enchant visitors of all ages, and the world-famous Selfridges is definitely worth a visit, to marvel at the vast collection of luxury goods. Rest your feet in one of the many side street cafes and bars, or the top party spots Chinawhite and Movida are also nearby.

Soho, established long ago as the entertainment district, has great night life and a thriving film industry. The area has undergone considerable transformation in the last 30 years, and is now a fashionable district of upmarket restaurants and creative offices, sometimes dubbed the 'media mile' due to the growing number of media-orientated businesses in the area. This gives it a trendy, bohemian feel paving the way for the gay community who have adopted this area as their own and a multitude of businesses thrive on the pink pound.

The area is steeped in history and has often been a feature of authentic London in literature and on television, with traditional pubs, taverns and jazz clubs such as the famous Ronnie Scott's on Frith Street. Even amongst the modern media, the thriving nightlife in these close-knit streets has an air of decadence and glamour to make you think you've stepped back into the 1920's.
