Leading from the living room is a dining room which has a semi open-plan design overlooking the kitchen and a table which seats up to 6 people. The corner of the room houses a stunning retro desk with iMac computer and a small library of books, which guests are welcome to enjoy during their stay.

The vintage theme continues into the kitchen and contains all of the modern amenities guests would expect including gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge freezer. Whether its a leisurely brunch or formal dinner, all your culinary requirements will be met. The property also boasts a pretty walled garden with bench, BBQ, outdoor table and chairs and even a patio heater for alfresco dining.

The master bedroom is to be found on the first floor. With wooden shutters, high ceilings and king-size bed this bedroom also has ample storage with solid wood wardrobes, beautiful ship's chest and shelves besides.

Next to this is the large family bathroom with vanity units and bath/shower. Themed in white and yellow, the mood is light and airy.

The second floor plays host to two large bedrooms. With views to The Shard, the first provides guests with some versatility - it has a single bed which is retractable, allowing the mattress to be extended to make a comfortable double bed for two people. A built-in wardrobe provides safe storage for luggage and shopping. The second bedroom is spacious comprises of two full sized bunk beds and a pretty vintage chair to read and relax in. A shower room with electric shower, toilet and hand basin is conveniently located on this floor too.

Upstairs the last loft room is well and truly a sanctuary in itself. Available by special request (and for an additional charge), the loft room has a double bed, overhead windows and more storage. There is also a desk providing a perfectly secluded office area if required.

This family home is ideally situated to explore London for a superb city break - Islington itself is a sophisticated destination in North Central London a short bus or taxi ride from Kings Cross. A short taxi ride delivers you into theatreland in Soho and there are plenty of fabulous, fine dining restaurants, theatres and cafes on the doorstep in Islington itself.

For shopping London's iconic Oxford Street is within easy reach from Highbury and Islington Underground station on the Victoria Line (7 mins walk away) and a total journey time of less than 20 minutes. Or a 20 min overground train ride will deliver you to Westfield - one of London's largest shopping malls.

This is a superb property for a family or friends to enjoy. It's simplicity and quirks are enchanting and you cannot beat the location for easy access to London's attractions.

Elegant Islington is a desirable residential area north of central London that stretches from Islington High Street to Highbury Fields and includes the busy Upper Street district. There are a plethora of charming homes which cater perfectly for both small and large families. Dating back to the Domesday Book and predominantly built during the 19th century, it boasts some of the most elegant Georgian terraced streets and Victorian squares in the city including Lonsdale Square which has a beautiful garden at its centre.

With a mixture of cultural shops, pubs and cafés, Islington is a favourite drinking and dining spot for many. The high street, historically located along Camden Passage in the village of Islington, has since been eclipsed by the more modern Upper Street, although people will still head here for the antiques market and boutiques. You'll find intriguing vintage shops nestled between the fashionable shops in this area, and do look out for the Banksy masterpieces as you stroll the streets. Islington is definitely an area for the foodie too, with cuisine from all around the world on offer.

There's a fantastic arts scene in Islington - also known as the capital's alternative theatre land - and it caters for both movie buffs and theatre lovers alike. There is an independent cinema and two reputable theatres in the area, notably Sadler's Well's which showcases world-class dance, the Almeida Theatre or the Little Angel Theatre for performances to entertain the children.
