Relax in this modern and luxurious family home near the popular area of Notting Hill, West London.

The interior of this family home is contemporary and serene throughout, with a minimal and uncluttered style and lots of interesting artwork. The spacious living room at the front of the house has cream sofas and a large bay window which floods the room with light. This open-plan room extends into the dining room, which has a stylish, oval shaped dining table.

The kitchen at the back of the home is very sleek and modern, with grey and white fitted cupboards and high spec appliances including a large fridge-freezer with an ice maker, an inset hob and a Russell Hobbs coffee maker. There is a large kitchen table and even a mini table and chairs for the children! The velux windows and the conservatory extension at the back of the house make this room light and airy and there is a washing machine and tumble dryer. The conservatory area has a flatscreen tv with an Apple TV connector and an iPod dock. The ceiling is glass, and French doors open out onto the garden.

There is also a study area in the kitchen with a desk and printer in the kitchen, and a downstairs guest loo.On the first floor you'll find stylish dark wood flooring throughout, and the master bedroom at the front of the house, with a double bed,

bedside tables, a large fitted wardrobe and a mirror-fronted chest of drawers under the huge bay window. This room has a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy a good night's sleep after a busy day in the Capital!

The family bathroom is on this floor, with a modern bath, a separate wet-room style shower with a misted glass screen and a velux window above you. There's also a sink, a loo, a modern mirrored cupboard and a stainless steel heated towel rail and underfloor heating.

On this floor there are also two kids bedrooms – one with a cot and one with an a youth's bed which can accommodate a child up to the age of 5-6 (depending on their height)! Both the children's bedrooms have ample storage. Here you will also find plenty of toys and games for young children.

There is also an extremely comfortable air mattress that can be put up to accommodate 2 extra guests as opposed to using the children's beds. Continue on to the top floor and you'll find the second double bedroom (which can be made up as a single or a double) with velux windows and bookshelves. The bathroom on this floor is a modern wet room with a walk-in shower, a sink and a loo. This bathroom also has underfloor heating!

This family home is in a quiet, suburban area in West London, near to Latimer Road and Notting Hill. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes within a few minutes stroll, particularly along Ladbroke Grove, and the impressive new Westfield Shopping Centre is also within walking distance, with over 300 shops, a cinema and many restaurants and cafes.

Kensington Memorial Park is nearby – ideal for a walk with the kids – or perhaps wander your way down Portobello Road through the famous markets stalls of fresh food, flowers, clothes and antiques. There are some lovely toy shops to explore too!

Latimer Road tube station is 5 minutes' walk away and joins two tube lines, or White City tube station for the Central line is within walking distance. From here you can be at Oxford Circus in 15 minutes, or if you fancy the bus instead, the number 7 goes direct from Oxford Gardens to Portobello Road and on to Selfridges and Oxford Street.

From White City tube station you can be at South Kensington in 20 minutes for the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum. There are also many boutique shops, trendy cafes and restaurants around this upmarket area to enjoy.

Notting Hill

Notting Hill is a cosmopolitan district known for its summer carnival and perhaps more famously, Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts in 'that' movie. It has a contemporary reputation as a fashionable and affluent area, known for attractive terraces of large Victorian townhouses, high-end retail and restaurants – perfect for families of all sizes and ages.

The pastel-coloured homes are as iconic to London as Big Ben, and Portobello Market is a classically British attraction. With stalls of antiques, jewellery, furs, fresh street food and often performers amid the upmarket shops, this in an area which must be visited. Refuel in one of the charming cafes with a cappuccino and some artisan treats, or perhaps choose one of the many restaurants for an impressive dining experience. For cinema with a difference, the Electric Cinema offers leather armchairs, footstools and cashmere blankets.

Nearby Westbourne Grove is the perfect spot for some shopping and brunch at Nicole Farhi's 202 which comprises both café and fashion boutique. The area has also had an association with artists and 'alternative' culture for some time with Notting Hill Arts Club a 'muso' favourite. Its cultural diversity, proximity to central London and large family homes make it a prime location for a stylish stay for all the family.
