Situated in the affluent and sought-after area of Maida Vale, this is a characterful and spacious (1250 sq ft) 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Just a short 5 minute walk to Warwick Avenue Underground station and you'll be whisked to Bond Street/ Oxford Street in 10 minutes!
Formerly a mansion house, the building has been lovingly converted into a handful of roomy apartments. The apartment sits on the first floor and guests are lead into a hallway which, up a handful of stairs, takes you through to a large living and dining area. Three floor-to ceiling-windows ensure the room is filled with natural light and provide views of the leafy streets and communal garden below. A two-seater leather sofa and a couple of large leather-studded armchairs surround a square coffee table. Bookcases and a flat-screen television sits in the corner of the room with interesting artwork adorning the walls. This is a super spot in which to relax after a day's sightseeing. Towards the back of the room is an elegant dining table and chairs and an impressive wood-framed seven foot wide mirror. The perfect place for a relaxing breakfast or an evening meal.
The L-shaped kitchen provides all the equipment you'll need to make meals at home. It offers an integrated microwave, modern oven/hob, extractor fan, dishwasher and an Espresso machine. There's a lot natural light owing to the glass doors which lead to the decked balcony. Here you'll find a wooden table with chairs and you might like to enjoy a glass of wine, or your morning coffee, looking down onto the communal garden in the warmer months.
The hallway then leads to the family bathroom and bedrooms. The family bathroom is neatly finished with a modern walk-in shower, large wash basin and loo.
The master bedroom has the 'wow' factor with three beautiful windows and a very inviting king-sized bed! A couple of bedside tables, reading lamps and a small flat screen make for greater comfort. There's ample storage here and a full length mirror. The en-suite bathroom is nicely finished in marble and offers a bath (with hand-held shower), a loo and wash basin.
The second double bedroom provides more wardrobe space, a desk and chair for catching up on any work or simply researching London's fine sights and attractions. Please note this room now features a double bed.
For guests taking a longer vacation, there is a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.
This is truly great apartment and it only gets better when you consider its superb location - London's most central borough of Westminster. Warwick Avenue Underground is a 5 minute walk and the handy Bakerloo line takes you directly to the upmarket shops at the Bond Street tube in around 10 minutes. You're also just 1 stop from Paddington, a major station, where you can connect on most of London's lines, including the Bakerloo, District, Circle, Hammersmith & City as well as mainline connections throughout the UK, should you fancy a day trip.
You could happily spend a day exploring the immediate area as there are plenty of interesting bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood. We particularly like the Summer House, which sits on the Regent's Canal and is about a 7 minute walk, and (until recently owned by Gordon Ramsay) the 'Warrington' which is a grand, iconic pub and restaurant and just a 1 minute walk from the apartment. Along nearby Formosa Street you can stop for a coffee in the neighbourhood cafe, pick up a paper in the newsagency and take a look in the popular ladies' boutique. All within a 5 minute walk is a Boots pharmacy, supermarket and further restaurants and cafes. A stroll along the Regent's Canal, through the area known as Little Venice (so called due to all the little waterways), is also recommended.
This is a superbly spacious and comfortable apartment ideally located for guests to fully enjoy London!

The London region
Bordering Regent's Park, Camden Town in northwest London is best known for its market and perhaps more recently the late great Amy Winehouse.
It became an important location during the early development of the railways and is located on the London canal network. In 1816, the Regent's Canal was built through the area creating a lock around which Camden Lock Village was developed. Today it is home to the internationally renowned Camden Market where you are sure to find something for the whole family. Amongst the bustling clothes, crafts and jewellery stands, there are some really unique pubs and bars offering nightly live music and DJs. The Lockside Lounge on the water's edge is a popular spot, as are the Barfly and Proud Camden music venues on Chalk Farm road on the west side of the district. You can enjoy fresh food from every continent whilst sitting astride a motorbike on the canal's edge, eating and watching the ducks swim by.
This area is renowned for its alternative culture although there are many period properties to enjoy a traditional style of home, from Georgian and early Victorian townhouses to modern apartments and mews homes on cobbled streets, making this an area full of character which will appeal to everyone. Many townhouses in Camden are over three or even four floors so there's plenty of space for the whole family to relax.
