The transport is incredibly great with Bayswater and Queensway Underground a short walk away and numerous bus routes going in all directions at your doorstep.
The culturally diverse Bayswater is one of London's most architecturally traditional areas. With a great expanse of Hyde Park's landscaped English parkland almost on your doorstep.
Edgware Road is London's Arab high street, and in summer the air is rich with the scents of Okacbasi barbecues and full of the sounds of Middle Eastern and North African music.
Between Queensway and Bayswater Underground Stations is the Queens Ice Rink, careful it's easy to miss with stairs going down into the main part of the building. The bunch of skittles at the top of the stairs is a clue. The main attraction here is the 10 pin bowling alley and the ice rink.
Whiteley's, a century-old department store that was the closest thing London has to a US-style mall prior to the opening of Westfield. Every place is at your doorstep. Bayswater , Harrods, Knightsbridge, Hyde Park, Natural History, Science and V&A Museums, Royal Albert Hall. I could carry on and on and on.
Splendid Walks Through Kensington Gardens. The location could hardly be bettered, with wonderful walks, monuments and restaurants. The city's most popular attractions are within easy reach.
Hyde Park, The Serpentine boating lake and the Diana Princess of Wales' Memorial Playground just beyond. The kids can run wild while you relax with a picnic or a good book. Holland Park is considered by many to be the most romantic park in London.
The celebrated Royal Albert Hall, with its fabulous schedule of concerts and shows, is only a short walk. The Victoria & Albert Museum, the world's greatest museum of art and design, is a further ten minutes easy stroll. Next door to the V&A you'll find two favourite family attractions – The Science Museum and Natural History Museum.
Lovers of Royalty adore Kensington Palace, the former residence of Queen Victoria and more recently Diana, Princess of Wales.
Kensington Palace is a working Royal Residence and has a significant place in the history of London. Buckingham Palace the Queens residence is just a short journey away.
The area is paradise for shoppers, with Knightsbridge, Harrods, Bayswater and Oxford Street only a short distance away. Notting Hill is not too far away with a lovely gentle stroll through Kensington Park and into Portobello Road Market where you can search for bargains of all kinds especially antiques.
To the north-west lies the Westfield shopping centre with over 265 retailers from luxury designers to high street labels.
Queensway has always been one of the most ethnically diverse London neighborhoods. As a result it boosts a fusion of reasonably priced international cuisine. Restaurants, all perfectly placed for the travellers staying nearby.
London's legendary West End is easy to reach by tube - you are only minutes from vibrant theatreland –
Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue, Leicester Square and the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Dive into the warren of narrow streets that criss-cross Soho and you'll find endless old pubs, lively bars and countless restaurants. Close to the capital's biggest attractions.
A few minutes in a cab or a short tube ride away and you're in the heart of Whitehall, Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament,
Westminster Abbey, The Cabinet War Rooms museum, London Eye. From here you can board a boat and cruise down the river past the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The financial centre of Canary Wharf, National Maritime Museum at Greenwich.
From Whitehall Trafalgar Square, with the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery, is an easy walk away. Head in the opposite direction and you are soon at Tate Britain.
