A bright and exceptionally high studio with two huge windows from ceiling to floor located in the heart of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Gloucester Road Area/Kensington is both a great touristic destination and one of the best parts of London residential areas for those who commute into City for work and would like to stay overnight. 5 min from Tube. Ideal for couples with one child or three friends. Extra-guest can be accommodated for a night or two.

The high ceiling makes your thoughts and imagination go beyond the typical limit we expect. You can here the echo of your voice when it is silent. This is old style Victorian building. And lovely sounds of the church next door will make all that difference.

There is one double, one single bed and additional single mattress that is possible to pull out in case there are four of you. It is a good solution for children or for an additional person joining for a night or two. There are kitchen amenities, which include: fridge, microwave, kettle, toast and small cooker. There is a small bathroom with a shower and toilet.

LOCATION/LINKS/TRANSPORT

Location is the key in a big and busy city such as London. The studio is located in the heart of the Royal, Borough of Kensington (one of few Royal Boroughs). This is one of the best locations in Europe not just London.

The location benefits from great transport links. It is both very close (5 min) to to the Tube station and to many places (to walk) that you might have planned to visit!

If you arrive via Heathrow Airport you do not need taxis during tube hours as Piccadilly line stops right at Gloucester Road Station. It is close enough to walk even with luggage on weels!

NEIGHBOURHOOD

Besides the very good transport links there are so many places that you can go just by walk as there are many pubs and restaurants within minutes.

V&A Museum, Royal Albert Hall, Science Museum and Natural History Museum are within 10-15min walking distance towards South Kensington Station.

If you like skating one of the best rings in the CIty just 10 min walk away!

As you get off the station you shall see a big Waitrose supermarket offering high quality food if you'd like to grab a quick bite for home or forgot to pack something. For more unique grocery shopping experience you can walk to High Street Kensington (15 min) and explore the fabulous Whole Foods Market - a real treat for you and your loved ones if you fancy to grab some goodies to take back.

The local church next door offers great recitals ( some free) and yoga classes (£10 drop-in). And you can hear its lovely sounds from the appartment. It adds special feel to the place.

"Excellent location, wonderful host, great studio!"

Liana has hosted me two times. My first experience was so wonderful, that I did not think twice to contact her again. I have recommended her to my friends as well and will certainly continue to do so for any one that is interested in finding a comfortable, conveniently located and affordable apartment.

From February 8th until the 9th (2014) we (my wife and I) stayed at Liana's lovely studio. This was the second time that I rented an apartment from her. The studio has wonderful high ceilings, a small bathroom, a beautifully hidden kitchen corner and basically all you need for an excellent stay. The studio is located on the 1st floor and is very nicely decorated. We had fresh towels, clean sheets and the room was properly cleaned when we arrived. Details on the neighbourhood and such and of course on the host are written in my text below.

The first time we stayed at Liana's top floor apartment for 5 days, 4 nights ( Saturday - Wednesday). I travelled with my 2 sons aged 7 and (then) 5. The house is located very conveniently. There is a bus stop right at your door step. It's a mere
1-2 minute walk to the Gloucester road tube station. From Gloucester road you can take three different tube lines: District, Circle and Piccadilly.
The bus stop at Gloucester road is also a stop for at least 3 hop on hop off bus companies: big bus, golden and Original. We took the Original (Blue line/museum) tour. Tickets were valid for 48 hours including a river tour.
The apartment is very close to the museum area. We visited the science
museum, the natural history museum and Royal Albert hall.
Gloucester road is only two stops from Victoria station from which several national express buses can be taken. (We took one to Brighton pier.) The apartment itself is just the right size for two people or 3 in our case.
That is if you don't mind having your kids in the same bed with you.
Otherwise the apartment is just big enough for two adults. It has a double bed, small bathroom with a toilet, a living room area with a couch, table, a bean bag and 2 closets. The house has a fridge, kitchen sink, stove top and
oven. The biggest plus of the apartment is definitely the central location. Only downside is the height of the apartment. Since it is a top apartment of a high building, you have to walk 7 flights up! This was fine for us, but if you are not in very good shape, this is something to be aware of.
Additionally the staircase has lots of stains and looks dirty. But you
forget all of that once you enter the clean apartment.

Last but not least, the host Liana is great. She offered me great prices both times and is always very helpful and attentive regarding all inqueries. She responds very quickly to all the questions and gives lots of practical information both reactively as proactively. She was very thoughtful towards my kids and gave them a bag of Halloween chocolates when we left. Liana is by far one of the best hosts I have ever had!! Do not hesitate to rent one of Liana's apartments!!!
