Maclise Road is a beautiful, light-filled first floor apartment forming part of an impressive Victorian house in the very popular 'village' of Brook Green in Kensington Olympia, within easy walking distance of High Street Kensington.
The apartment features a beautiful sitting room with unusually high ceilings and windows– giving the apartment an impressively spacious feeling – beautiful cornicing, a lovely south facing balcony and wonderful old wooden floors. The accommodation comprises of an open plan living room and kitchen with exceptionally high ceilings, bathroom and double bedroom.
There is a private balcony to the front which is accessed through double doors from the living room. There is also a separate office/utility room. Maclise Road is a residential street very close to the Olympia Exhibition Hall.
This gorgeous bijou apartment has a lovely high-ceilinged living room and separate kitchen area with a seating area. Maclise Road is an easy walk to Olympia Tube (District Line) in two minutes, Shepherds Bush Tube (Central Line) in 7-8 minutes, and Hammersmith on the Piccadilly Line in 7-8 minutes. Central London is no further than 25 minutes away by these routes. There are also regular buses to many different destinations from the bus stop outside Olympia Exhibition Hall (three minutes walk). You can use the popular Boris Bikes –pick up and drop off (there is a cycle park the other side of Olympia train station nearby. You just need to open an account with them online, it is easy. It is also quite easy to walk to High Street Kensington and Holland Park (about 15 minutes) and from there London is your oyster. Speaking of oysters, don't forget to buy an Oyster card, as it makes tube and train rides much cheaper (you can buy them at Tube stations). More information at www.oystercard.com. 'dreaming spires' is wonderful. You can boat through the incredible architecture, visit the

* To see the most beautiful countryside in England go to the Cotswolds in Oxfordshire and
Gloucestershire (about 1.5hrs on M40). It is the classic 'shires' of JRR Tolkein's imagination in
Lord of the Rings, and is all gorgeous villages, tranquil rivers, and wonderful pubs and walks
(www.the-cotswolds.org) Best to stay overnight there.
* For a round of golf, drive to Stoke Park (30mins on M40) where James Bond plays his golf
(in Goldfinger) and where Bridget Jones' Diary was filmed (www.stokepark.com). There's a
spa and great restaurant too
* Head to royal Henley on Thames (50mins on M40), home of the world famous Royal
Regatta, for walks on the glorious river and lunch at the excellent Little Angel gastro pub

* Take a trip to Windsor (30mins on the M4) to see the castle, the queen's residence and one
of the oldest buildings in Europe. The Great Park there and the river make for glorious walks
