With its beautiful architecture, coupled with a vibrant and diverse history and people, fantastic parks and the world famous Portobello Road market... Notting Hill is London's most fabulous central residential area.

The light and airy apartment is located in the lower ground floor of a beautiful terraced Georgian stucco townhouse, on a tree lined street, within a minute of Notting Hill underground station. It comprises 3 bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen and generous living room. There are two good sized bedrooms (1king, 1 twin) with views onto the gardens to the rear of the building. The sofa can be pulled out to sleep 2 extra if required, (alternatively there is a really comfortable electrically inflatable double mattress). There is limestone and solid wooden flooring throughout

The Bulthaup kitchen is fully fitted with everything you will need, whether your culinary plans extend to preparing a full sunday dinner or go no further than making a cup of coffee.

The apartment is spacious and stylishly decorated to a high quality by its architect/designer owners. It has been furnished and fitted with a contemporary eye but always with an emphasis on creating a comfortable and relaxing home to enjoy your holidays in.

The South East England region

London, one of the world's truly greatest city, priding itself on its variety of experiences, food, architecture, fashion, theatre alongside its diverse and friendly people. Immerse yourself in the finest shops in the world, view some of the finest exhibitions on the planet then throw yourself into the exuberent array of london's theatres restaurants bars and nightlife. or take a river curise, or if you want a more peaceful experience mooch along any of our great markets or stroll quietly along the canal or through any of the fantstic number or Royal Parks. whatever sort of holiday you want it is here for you.

Central London/Zone 1

Notting Hill needs little introduction. It is Central Londons finest residential area, with great peaceful tree-lined streets of white pillared Victorian townhouses. The area is home to Portobello Road, the world's finest streetmarket whose stalls and shops graduate from antiques to fruit and veg then funky clothes, boutique fashion, music, flowers, furniture and much much more, all flanked by an array of cafes, restaurants and bohemian bars from which to relax and peoplewatch when in need of a sit down. You might even spot some of Notting Hills more famous residents, Claudia Schiffer, Sienna Miller, Stella McCartney, Richard Curtis, Jonathan Miller, and Martin Amis all live here. The apartment is 10 minutes away from Kensington Gardens - featuring Kensington Palace, Princess Diana playground and fountain and a swan lake, and in the other direction Holland Park - with its wooded walks, Japanese gardens, peacocks, sculptures and kids playgounds. There are three arthouse cinemas within a short walk of the appartment, and a great choice of restaurants. Central London is 10 mins away on the tube, or 15 by bus (the City is 20 mins by train), or you can easily hail a taxi or hire one of the bikes docked at the top of the road. It is central enough to have a day out then come home and relax before going back out for the evening if you wish to.

I have lived in London for over 40 years and Notting Hill is without question the best place to be.

NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL

Europe's largest, and the world's second largest, street festival takes over the streets of Notting Hill on the last weekend of August of each year. Primarily a carnival to celebrate the Carribean community in London it is open to all comers with a twisting colourful parade of amazing costumes, floats, steel bands and other music. Alongside this the rest of the area fills with sound systems, impromptu bands, hundreds of Caribbean food stalls, and over 1 million revellers flood the area for the two day party.

"Notting hill holiday let down. Dirty flat."

I have the privilege of being a senior writer/contributor to Trip Advisor and as you can see from my reviews have written about many places worldwide. I am always trying to look for the positives in e… More

Unfortunately this review is not representative of our apartment and service offered, and left purely because I refused to be blackmailed into offering any money off for not leaving an unfavourable review. The fact that these guests felt that a 3 bedroom apartment in the centre of Notting Hill for £500 for three nights was a high price demonstrates their objective. Immediately they arrived these guests started a quest for dust to photograph. When they found nothing to complain about in the state of the apartment they set about moving all the furniture away from the walls in a desperate search. They went to the extremes of moving a kingsize mahogany sleigh bed and a 3 seater walnut sofa, amongst other things. We had a deep clean of the apartment 6 weeks ago, and they were unable to find anything to photograph other than a small area under a box at the back of the king size bed. They failed to mention that at their request we sent our cleaner in to work under their direction on their 1st day. Although they had stood over her for an hour while she cleaned under the beds, they later complained yet again very rudely, whilst raising the subject of money. The toaster was working fine, and the freezer door had not fallen off - these are totally false claims, and indicate their desperation to find something to complain about. When I went to the apartment on the 2nd day they were so rude to me, whilst threatening a bad review, and again raising the question of money off, that I told them I would not submit to blackmail and left. I certainly didn't laugh at them or rant at them. I think it would be totally unacceptable to find nests of spiders or dust under beds, but this was not the case. As you can see from our other reviews, we go out of our way to make our guests stay as happy and comfortable as possible, and have made some very good friends in the course of our letting. I sincerely hope that potential guests will also look at our other reviews, most of which are excellent, in deciding on the experience they can expect of our apartment (which in my opinion is beautiful and very well cared for!). I will be asking subsequent guests to review particularly the cleanliness of the apartment to illustrate the incorrectness of this review.
