The South East England / London region

London has a great number of possibilities. Firstly, there are the museums. Then the theatres. Night life ranges from pubs and bars to late night clubbing. Of course, there are an increasing number of great restaurants.
Museums to visit include Madam Tussards, Natural History and Science, Imperial War and Design.
Art Galleries include the Tate Modern and Britain, Saatchi,
The West End offers the best in Theatre entertainment. And there are large capacity cinemas too.
Otherwise, you could simply decide to have a walk around the city and see the sites and sounds.
The Central London/Zone 1 / Southwark area
Elephant & Castle is due to have extensive changes to its infrastructure. From where you are and also from the Elephant you can get plenty of buses, overground and underground trains to get you up town.
On the other side, is Surrey Quays which is a new development on the Thames and has plenty of good shops.
There is a large Tesco Superstore 5 minutes walk away from the flat. There is also nearby Burgess Park where you can have a stroll.
You will find that you are in the centre of Town within no more than 20 - 30 minutes.

We were four adults staying for 10 days. Very good and frequent bus connections to all mayor locations in Central London, Tower Bridge is in walking distance. Several Shops including Tesco and Lidl are nearby. The appartment is well equipped, tidy and clean with spacious rooms. Good and easy wifi/internet access. We enjoyed our stay a lot and we would recommend this flat to everyone. Easy and nice communication with landlord Gavin. Easy check-in and -out. Thank you Gavin for being your guests. |

We were four adults and a child and stayed all Christmas Holidays and New Year Eve and Day. We felt like at home. the kitchen was well equipped and there's a Lydl and a Tesco store very near, not to say of all the 24h shops in the neighbourhood. the house is exactly the same as you can see in the pictures. you can walk to the nearest tube station or get the bus to almost anywhere, even walk to the Tower Bridge. We liked the flat a lot and I would recommend it to everyone. And Gavin is helpful and nice. |

We were pleased to find such a nice and clean apartment in a big city like London. The price was very moderate if you compare to the hotel prices. The wooden floors were much better than fitted carpet! The apartment was spacious, beds were comfortable, and there was enough equipments in the kitchen for one to make a breakfast. There were a couple of shops nearby where you could buy grocery. The only disruption during our stay was the poor soundproof of the house and ongoing party in the neighbour. Even if the neighbourhood or the house were not of the first class, the apartment was good. However, the location was good. It was easy to get to the city centre by bus or by tube. |
