15 MIN WALK TO CENTRE * ONE BEDROOM APARTMENT * PRIVATE PARKING
Near Sydney Gardens, just 15 minutes walk to Pulteney Bridge, for all the main sights. This is an independent guest apartment on the ground floor of our modern three storey house. We are new to Holiday Lettings but last year welcomed many happy guests through other booking sites, with excellent reviews
The style of decor is contemporary yet cosy, with light practical flooring, colourful rugs and accessories. You have a private entrance so your space is your own, but we are nearby if needed. There is on site parking for one guest car and you are welcome to use the garden with sunny seating area. ( a town garden so some traffic noise).
SITTING ROOM / KITCHEN: entrance via patio doors, sofa, armchair, breakfast table for two, radio/cd/docking system, new 24"TV with DVD player, radio/CD/ docking station, tourist information, books and Dvds. Kitchen with combi oven/microwave, ceramic hob, fridge with small icebox, granite worktop, crockery and utensils.
SHOWER / WC: with power shower
DOUBLE BEDROOM: spacious and light (but with a dark blind for a cosy lie-in) , double divan bed, crisp white bedlinen, fitted wardrobe. We can add a folding bed or cot for child/adolescent. Please enquire.
We are 15 minute walk from the centre for all the main sights: Roman Baths, Pump Rooms, Abbey, Jane Austen Centre, Royal Crescent, Costume Museum and new Thermae Spa .We also have some great shops, restaurants, pubs and tea rooms.
It is a pretty walk into town via Sydney Gardens, Great Pulteney Street ( the film set for Vanity Fair) and Pulteney Bridge ( filmed briefly in Les Miserables). Although slightly uphill coming back, the walk through Sydney Gardens is worth it and there are seats on the way back! Or the regular bus from the Abbey stops opposite our house, or taxi costs approx £6. Bath University is about 4 min away by car, or the Uni bus stops on nearby Bathwick Hill.
Most visitors to Bath explore on foot. Although a bit hilly on the outskirts, the centre of Bath is fairly flat , but we can also recommend the Red Hop On Tour Bus as an easy way around. As well as beautiful architecture and museums, Bath has great shopping , places to eat and drink and a good theatre. There are some lovely parks and gardens to explore, take a balloon flight or a boat trip along the River Avon. In spring/summer we have various events for music and literature, including the famous Jane Austen Festival. And in the winter the Rugby, Half Marathon and a huge Christmas Market.
For an alternative day out, the maritime city of Bristol, ancient Stonehenge and the pretty Cotswolds are all within easy reach, by car or train, or escorted tours.
OUR RATES include towels, bedding and welcome tray / breakfast basket. Travel cot or Z-bed on request.
PLEASE NOTE, a SHORT STAY RENTAL AGREEMENT will be issued for all bookings. Peak season dates minimum 3 nights.

The Somerset region
Bath is in north Somerset and on the southern edge of the Cotswolds.
The small city of Bath is compact and most of it can be seen on foot. There is plenty to see and do for a few days but if you wish to explore further, the region has lots to offer.
Within an hour's drive of Bath, the pretty Cotswolds area will delight you with quaint villages, old cottages , gift shops and cream teas.
To the west, the city and port of Bristol is 10 minutes by train, and in less than hour (by train or road) you can cross over the River Severn into Wales. To the east you can visit ancient Avebury Rings and Stonehenge, or take a fast train to London in 90minutesl
We are 15 minutes walk from the centre of Bath. The pretty route is via Sydney Gardens and Great Pulteney Street, into the city centre for all the main tourist sights, excellent shops, museums, restaurants, pubs etc. If you choose to walk back, the last 10 minutes are gently uphill, or a regular bus from the centre stops opposite the house. Taxis from the train station or Abbey cost £5-6.
The Kennet and Avon canal path is only 3minutes from us, great for a countryside walk or level cycle ride.
The University of Bath is way uphill, but a frequent Uni bus stops 5minutes from our house .

"Cosy well designed apartment handy for Bath"
Had been told Bath was beautiful so booked a couple of days after New year on our way back from Devon. After abit of difficulty finding it (apparently there are two North Roads) we were warmly welcomed by Trevor and Eileen who allowed us in early which gave us more time to explore Bath which really is beautiful. The property is under Trevor and Eileen's bungalow and you share their drive but they are not at all intrusive. It is exceptionally well designed to a very high standard (the couch was slightly uncomfortable but that would be my only negative comment) and was lovely and warm in December. The welcome pack was very much appreciated. It is on main road but we heard no noise from inside the property and as everybody says it is a very nice stroll in to the town. Unless you wish to be right in the centre I would definitely recommend this apartment it has everything you need for a couple.
Thank you Debbie , glad you enjoyed your stay, do come again!
(NB future guests, the postcode & location map on here are correct, the corner house North Rd /Warminster Rd, near Sydney Gardens. And the couch is a sofa bed, which always tend to be firmer)

"great place to stay"
This is the second time I've stayed with Eileen and Trevor. They are warm, accommodating hosts who went out of their way to make my stay more comfortable .The flat is lovely, clean and homely. The bed is really comfortable, the bathroom is spotless with a great hot shower, the kitchen has everything you need and its a pleasant 10 minute walk to Bath centre. I highly recommend this holiday rental.
Thank you Becca for choosing us on both occasions. We have enjoyed having you, and really appreciate your kind review. :)
