The cottage is a 18th century stone house that has been tastefully renovated by its owners to offer its guest a unique holiday home mixing modern comfort of a 5 star accommodation and authentic charm.

Though newly renovated, the spirit of this 18th Century Cottage transpires throughout this charming house, and will enable you to quickly feel at home.

The house is an delightful union of traditional stone and wooden floor, with handpicked antiques furnitures and decoration making this place so unique.

PRIVACY

The Cottage is set in the middle of a 35 acre Domain, “The Old Dezie”, built in the 18th century, before the french revolution, using the traditional stone work so typical to this region of France.

When you arrive to the Cottage onto its own private lane through is landscaped park you reach a shaded parking for 2 cars. Further is the large and welcoming U shaped south facing stone courtyard . In the back garden is set the 10X5 private heated pool, in the middle of it luxuriant garden, with absolutely no vis a vis, and view over the rolling hills.

HEATED POOL

The Cottage has its own private heated pool with a luxuriant garden all around it and a 80 sqm terrace to enjoy the surrounding views over the fields. Next to the pool is a luxury Spa for 6 and an outdoor shower.

On the deck are 8 teak sun loungers with matching cushions.

BEDROOMS/BATHROOMS

The Cottage is a 3 bedroom holiday home, with one master bedroom downstairs and its en-suite bathroom, and two other bedrooms upstairs and their 2 separated bathrooms.

Each bathroom has shower, toilet and sink.

KITCHEN

The Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer, oven, microware, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher, electric juicer, toaster, multi-use mixer, full range of cooking knives and ustensils.

The Cottage's utility room with a washing machine, and storage area is in the downstairs bathroom.

LIVING ROOM

The Cottage's living room is separated to the dinning room, has 2 large and comfortable sofas seating seat up to 8 and a 42inche Led TV with DVD player and satellite channels.

DINNING ROOM

The Cottage's large dinning room is just next to the kitchen with a large glass table and seats for up to 8 people. Just outside the glass doors south facing is the terrace with a covered BBQ area, and teak table and chairs for up to 12.

As a true family home The Grange will provide you with everything you need to spend playful and relaxed holiday : ping pong tables, bikes, vintage foosball,volley ball, pool games, petanques balls, tennis court 2 min away, free pony rides on site, and plenty of toys for kids…

The Aquitaine/Dordogne region

Perigord Noir is the heart of the Dordogne offering a variety of landscapes, flamboyant chateaux and the centre of prehistoric history. All the main attractions are within easy reach - of which these are just a taster: The vineyards of Bergerac, Bordeaux and St Emilion are within easy reach and regional delicacies include - truffles, foie gras, duck, walnuts and strawberries.

For the energetic the rivers and stunning countryside offer are boundless opportunities for walking, horse-riding, cycling, golf (4km), canoeing and fishing or simply relaxing by the pool or on the shores of the many lakes and rivers. The Dordogne & Vezere rivers are just 15 minutes away.

Hundreds of years of history - Prehistoric Caves – the world famous Lascaux caves are nearby, Châteaux and fortified villages. Beynac & Castelnaud Castles – are fine examples originally dating back to the 100 years war between France & England. Some of the most beautiful villages and towns in France are within easy reach – Perigueux (regional capital), Sarlat, La Roque – Gageac, Rocamadour. Le Bugue - aquarium, re-created village, canoeing, caves. Bastide towns - Lalinde, Monpazier, Eymet.

Excellent shopping - Enjoy shopping the local way at one of the many local markets, or for your day to day requirements there are also numerous shopping opportunities minutes away in Le Bugue, Vergt, and the regional capital Perigueux.

Cendrieux

Cendrieux, only 5 min, has a village shop, a restaurant, bar tabac and post office. There are excellent restaurants in the nearby villages where we can book a tables for you on demand.

For outdoor activities there's is a good riding school minutes away, canoeing trip on the nearby Dordogne River, tree adventure park, and for our most adventurous guests hot air balloon rides.
