Home description

A recently converted two bedroom gite, one double and one twin. Open plan lounge/dining. New fitted kitchen and bathroom. The gite has its own garden with views of the village and surrounding countryside. A recently alarmed swimming pool completed Summer 2006.

The owners live discreetly on site and have two girls aged 7 and 10.

The Aquitaine / Dordogne / Dordogne region

The summers are long with July/Aug temperatures up to 36/37 degs. The winters are cold and frosty.

The Dordogne is full of history, with Roman towns, Chateaux, Museums, caves, canoeing, cycling. Aqua parks for children and pony trekking, plus many many more. Sarlat a beautiful Roman town is 40 mins, Bergerac and Perigueux are 30 mins. Les Eyzies with its famous rocks is only 20 mins. Of course there is all the countryside for walking.


Cendrieux / Sainte Alvere area

There are lots of markets, Le Bugue a town on the river, 15 mins away has a market on Tuesdays. Vergt another town 10 mins away has a day market on Fridays and an evening market with music and food on Tuedays. Nepoleon Museum is situated in Cendrieux.

Nearest airports - Bergerac approx 30 mins - Ryanair and Flybmi.
British Airiways and Easyjet fly to Bordeaux approx 1 3/4 hrs drive.

The interior has been decorated in neutral colours with modern furniture, giving a light and airy feel.

The gite has its own fenced in garden and patio, with the use of the owners large garden. There are many fruit trees of which guests are welcome to pick. The whole gite is surround by fields.

Rentals are preferably from Saturdays to Saturdays. Check out time 10am. We would prefer if guests did not arrive until 4pm, allowing full cleaning and changing of all linen etc.


Conditions

No pets are allowed.
We require a 20% deposit when booking and full payment 6 weeks before arrival date. In the case of booking after 6 week deadline, full payment is required with the booking.

We ask for a £200 refundale breakages deposit on arrival.
