The North Wales region

Anglesey is a beautiful island just off the North Wales coast and is easily reached via the main A55 north Wales dual carriageway. One of the most treasured aspects about Anglesey is its coastal path which covers over 125 miles of beautiful coastline and many claim that the island itself is the jewel in the crown of Wales. So, if you love nature, prepare your senses for some spectacular sea views and wild and un-spoilt coastline much of which is classified as Heritage coastline and is the largest and one of the most important Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Whether you are seeking sun drenched beaches for a refreshing swim or a picnic or a bracing cliff top walk on Anglesey's coastal path, leisurely bird watching or exhilarating water sports action, such as surfing, Anglesey can offer you all of that.

Cemaes Bay

Anglesey Sea Zoo located at the south of the Island is only 30 minute drive away. The town of Beaumaris is well worth a visit and has a good selection of shops and good pubs and restaurant and while you there visit Beaurmaris Castle which was originally built for King Edwards visit in 1283. If you want to see what life was like for a traditional family in wales visit Swtan a small cottage museum dedicated to 17th century Welsh living.

Or visit Plas Newydd The traditional home of the Marquess of Anglesey, situated on the bank of theMenai Strait with magnificent views of Snowdonia. Also close by is Copper Kingdon at Porth Amlwch which retains many original buildings to explore, like the Copper Bins, the Watch House and the Work Shop chimneys. At the sail loft visitor centre, enjoy a delicious snack or browse the gift shop but don't miss the exhibition of Amlwch's world renowned ship building and copper mining heritage.

Sporting Activities.

For something a bit different and if your a keen Motor bike riding visit Anglesey Circuit (Trac Môn) which was opened during 1997 as a fully licensed MSA and ACU championship racing circuit. For golfers there is an abundance of golf courses and to name just a few.

Just 4 miles away Bull Bay Golf Club is the most northerly golf course in Wales. There is also some excellent Horse Riding at Anglesey Riding School which is set alongside the beautiful Menai Straits with stunning views of Caernarfon Castle and the Snowdonia mountain range beyond, you won't find horse riding in more involving surroundings.
