•On the outskirts of Calasparra, a delightful Spanish town famous for its paella rice, Villa Esperanza is situated amongst stunning scenery - surrounded by mountains and pine forest. There are many local activities to enjoy such as walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, mountain climbing, white water rafting and 4x4 treking to name a few.
•Locally you will find stunning lakes, local markets and medieval Spanish towns steeped in history, not to mention the amazing fiestas that take place during the year. There are plenty of local bars and restaurants. Golf and sandy beaches are about an hour away.
•The Villa has 3 separate terraces, plus a sunbathing terrace and barbecue area, providing a wide choice to dine al fresco, or enjoy a drink on an evening. The private pool is very inviting and the perfect place for a swim in the glorious Spanish sunshine.

The Costa Calida/Murcia region

The Murcia region is fast becoming one of the most popular holiday destinations in Spain with its impressive record of sunshine, beautiful beaches of the Costa Calida on the Mediterranean (including the Mar Menor which boasts 2 seas!) and stunning contrast of scenery.
Murcia is reowned for its food and drink, including the famous paella, and there are many places to sample this as well as other local dishes. There are also many local markets to visit.
Fiestas are a way of life in the Spanish towns and some of these are truly spectactular.

Cehegin / Calasparra area

•Locally there are plenty of bars and restaurants including a few that are within walking distance. On the development there is Bar Trevol, (who serve Guinness, London Pride and Cider amongst others) and Alandalus Restaurant and Bar, which has a lovely roof terrace.
•Calasparra has a beautiful monastery (Sanctuario) built into the side of a rock, a mile from the villa. The River Segura runs by the side of it where there are public barbecues - the Spanish take their families at weekends and food and have a day out. There is also a restaurant there (the food and drink are excellent and very reasonable)..In fact shopping, eating out and drinks are generally cheaper in the area compared to prices on the coast).
•There are some fabulous lakes nearby - the one at Cenajo is amazing with turquoise waters,a huge dam and a tunnel with a road that goes through the mountain.
•Nearby are the medieval towns of Cehegin and Caravaca de la Luz. The old towns are worth exploring and there are some great tapas bars to be found.
•Archena and Fortuna are about 30-40 minutes away, both having spas where the pools are like getting into bathwater – so all year bathing is available!
•The Valle de Ricote has some stunning scenery (a slight detour on the way to Archena); a lovely drive passing through a number of traditional Spanish towns
•Murcia itself has many places of interest as well as one of the largest shopping centres in the region on the outskirts (you pass this on the way from Alicante airport)
•For those wishing to travel further afield, Calasparra has its own station with trains to Madrid (we understand the journey it is about 3.5 hours). There are also trains to Murcia and Cartegena.

•Choice of Airports – Alicante or Murcia (San Javier)
•Cheap flights available from most UK Airports with a number of budget airlines e.g Easyjet, Ryanair, Jet2, Bmibaby, Monarch, Thomsonfly, Flybe, GB Airways (now part of Easyjet). Travelsupermarket.com and Skyscanner.net may also be useful for checking flights
•Car hire deals available from www.carjet.com, www.economycarhire.co.uk, www.carhire3000.com or www.email-car-hire.com which can be collected from the destination airports.
•Easy route from Alicante - 3 main roads and just over an hour driving time

Villa Esperanza is on a new urbanisation and beautifully furnished to a high standard with an excellent range of facilities. There are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the villa is fully air conditioned for your comfort. Satellite TV is available providing a range of British TV channels and radio stations.
The log burning stove in the lounge provides a cosy atmosphere for winter evenings.

The Villa is on a large corner plot with plenty of outside terraces to enjoy the Spanish sunshine.

Towels are only provided for the bathrooms. Beach towels should be provided by guests.

Conditions

Refundable breakages deposit of £100 required (payable with balance of rental fee), to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
The owner requests a booking deposit of 20% of the rental fee, with the balance to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival.
The property is strictly no smoking inside and we would ask any guests that wish to smoke, to use the outside terraces only.
Children should be supervised at all times
