If you are looking for the perfect get-a-way in a very quite tranquil location, or house hunting, then this is for you. Our family run self catering apartments are located in the countryside of North West Murcia, Southern Spain near the small historic town of Cehegin. On arrival you will find a welcome pack in your apartment consisting of tea, coffee, sugar and milk, along with a basic breakfast of bread, butter, jam and eggs.
Apartment provided with bedding and towels, which are changed once a week.
The area is Ideal for walking or cycling among the many orchards and flower groves growing all year round. Meet the friendly locals during your walks or at the village Spanish bar where you can get refreshments and food. Spend time relaxing in your suites in comfort and peaceful surroundings.
Refresh yourselves in our pool, or relax on the sun loungers with a glass of the local wine (towels provided, one less thing to put in your suitcase!) You will have the use of the barbeque whenever you want.
The nearest beach is about 45 minutes away (Mar Menor/Pinitar etc).which are on the Costa Calida (the “warm” Coast). This makes our apartments the best of both worlds: ideal for peace and quiet and the beach holiday if you want.
Cehegin itself is a beautiful historic town where everything you may need is available. It has good supermarkets and local shops and more cafe-bars than you would be able to visit during your stay. There is a Tourist board where you can get information about local events, such as markets, fiestas and carnivals.
Car hire is advisable as Casa con Buena Vista is in the countryside and there is no public transport available. We do a pick up service from Alicante/San Javier for a fee.

The Murcia region
Known as the lungs of Spain for it's quality of air. Caravaca de la Cruz, a place of pilgrimage and devotions to the Most Holy and True Cross. You can enjoy the passion, joy and colour of it's Fiestas in honour of the Most Holy and True Cross. This is only a short drive from Cehegin.
Walk or cycle the north west green route and discover the towns of Mula, Bullas, Cehegin and Caravaca de la Cruz.
The coast of Murcia is dotted with unspoilt coves and shores, but also with lively beaches in the most popular towns. From La Manga to Aguilas you'll find a huge variety of coastal landscapes including golden sand beaches.
The apartments are in North West Murcia in the heart of the agricultural countryside of Cehegin. They are located in a small village, Campillo de los Jimenez. Here they grow fruit and flowers as well as vegetables.
From March to December the sun shines keeping the temperature in the high 40's. Although a very quiet village, Cehegin itself has a huge variety of events during the year, such as Ruta de la Tapa, carnivals, Santa Semana (Easter celebrations) and of course the odd fiesta,and is only 20 minutes away from the village. It has a weekly outdoor market every Wednesday where you can buy locally produced goods from eggs and fruit/vegetables to metal work and clothes.
As far as nature is concerned, Cehegín is one of the richest environmental places in the Region of Murcia. It has almost thirty thousand hectares of land and more than twenty thousand of them are covered with trees. A big woodland of the Mediterranean wood, with heights from 400 meters up to 1300 meters.
Cehegin gastronomy, a distinctive and accurate reflection of its traditional cuisine featuring local produce full of aromas, flavours and colours. Traditional recipes which are currently produced in Cehegín were always created using local seasonal produce, and marked by simplicity in the design. Cehegín has a variety of places ranging from sampling simple tasty food to the most up to date cuisine, enjoying a delicious meal in a restaurant or taking the tapas route.
If there is something Cehegín can boast of, it is its wealth of monuments, artistry, architecture and landscape. Here you can find the most attractive sites and resources of our cultural and natural heritage. Churches, museums, streets, sculptures, archaeological sites, buildings and houses, landscapes and natural areas make up a tour impossible to complete in one visit.
