The Puglia/Molise region
Puglia is the Southernmost tip of Italy's heel where the summers are long and hot and the winters short and relatively mild.
Puglia also produces around 80% of Italy's fruit and vegetables, 20% of its pasta and is famous for producing good local wines such as Primitivo.
Ceglie Messapica area
The local town of Ceglie Messapica is known as the gastronomic capital of Puglia and boasts many fabulous eateries.
Studio Pietra is in the perfect location for exploring the area and local places of interest are Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Locorotondo and Cisternino with the world famous ceramica at Grottaglie.
Slightly further afield but within easy driving distance are the lovely Baroque city of Lecce and the coastal towns of Gallipoli and Otranto.
