Trullo Gioia is three individual buildings surrounding a sun terrace that provide a large amount of privacy to all staying.
Situated within the trullo is the master suite, as you enter there is a double bed in an alcove inside one of the cones and a lounge area, dressing room/single bedroom and a shower room.
In the restored stone barn is a further double bedroom with an en suite shower room, and finally in the restored store is the kitchen and dining area with all that you would need for a self catering holiday.
Outside there is also a covered area with large sofas, a great place to hide from the mid day sun, or chill out late in the warm summer evenings.
Trullo Gioia has been carefully designed to provide luxury accommodation and is extremely pleasing to the eye. It is perfect for couples and with two/three bedrooms and two bathrooms can sleep up to 5 people comfortably. This property is not suitable for children.

The Puglia/Molise region
Apulia (Puglia) is a region in southern Italy at the “heel” of the boot. The region is famous for its olive oil, wine (of which it produces more than in any other region of Italy), seafood and its “Trulli”. With its sunny Mediterranean climate, clean sandy beaches, hidden caves and relaxed way of life, Apulia is a delightful area of Italy, yet it still remains relatively undiscovered. The area is covered in large areas of Olive trees, fruit trees, vineyards and still supports a vast agricultural way of life.
The trullo is within easy reach of many towns, as well as many other sites and area’s of interest.
Ceglie Messapica area
The word “messapi” means “between two seas” and this is in fact one of Ceglie Messapica’s many charms. Situated right in the heart of the countryside, it is almost exactly halfway from both the Adriatic and Ionian coasts. Therefore, as the locals delight in telling you, on any given day you can pick which ever coast has the best weather when you want to go to the beach.
Ceglie Messapica has a picturesque historical centre, built in the white stone typical of this area. But it is perhaps most well known for its excellent gastronomic tradition. The Gambero Rosso Guide – Italy’s equivalent of the Michelin ratings, highly recommends the gourmet restaurant “Cibus” and there are several other superb restaurants, as well as a selection of rustic “Osterias” serving delicious home-cooked food at very reasonable prices.
How to get there
Fly to Bari or Brindisi Airports, with BA, Alitalia or Ryanair to mention a few. Car Hire available from the airports with Hertz, Avis, Europcar, Sixt and Maggiore. Easy to find trullo. Detailed directions can be provided.

Conditions
Prices are for the property per week in pound sterling Rental rates include linens, towels, pool towels, gas and electricity during summer months (an extra charge for heating in winter - see terms and conditions). Changeover day. Preferred changeover day is Saturday. Please arrive after 5pm and leave by 11am on departure day. For bookings outside peak periods please contact us as it may be possible to arrange different arrival and departure days. If you require a last minute break (within two weeks of rental period) and the trullo is vacant, please contact us and we may be able to arrange a discount. We may also be able to accommodate short breaks during the low season.
