Trulli Marangi (trullo)

Home description

A beautifully restored 4 domed trullo with its own sun terrace/patio and garden area with access to a BBQ and traditional woodfired pizza oven. Sleeps 2/3 with one double bed and one single day-bed. Bathroom with traditional bath and shower, kitchen, dining area, lounge area and romantic bedroom area with double bed and little alcoves for those scented candles!
We offer either Bed and Breakfast or self catering.
Delicious home cooked evening meals available for those times you don't fancy cooking or going out to eat.
On your arrival, with our compliments, you will find the fridge stocked with basic essentials like milk and bottled water ( and, of course, something special cooling in a bottle). You will also find a complimentary bowl of fresh local fruit, tea, coffee and sugar etc. Self catering guests will find organic free range eggs, bread, butter, museli and yogurt.

The Puglia/Molise region

The Southern most tip of Italy's heel where summers are long and hot and the winters average a respectable 15°. Producing 20% of Italy's pasta, 80% of its wine and 75% of its fruit and vegetables and with some of the best beaches in Italy, Puglia is a gem still relatively undiscovered as a tourist destination. Trulli Marangi is perfect for those looking for a relaxing holiday in total peace and quiet where the noisiest residents are the finches and other small birds who live in the trees on the estate.

Ceglie Messapica area

Ostuni (The White City) is probably the most famous town in this area and stands at the gateway to the beautiful Itria Valley, home of the Trulli. These conical roofed properties (and Trulli Marangi is an example of course) are fairytale like in their appearance and enchant visitors to the area. Visit Alborobello, known as Trulli Town.

The historical town of Lecce boasts some fantastic Baroque architecture. Ceglie Messapica, just 5K from Trulli Marangi, is known as the gastronomic capital of Puglia and boasts its own Michelin starred restaurant where you can eat at a fraction of the price it would cost in the UK!

How to get there

Easily accessible from all parts of the UK. Cheap daily flights from London Stanstead on Ryanair but loads of other options too including some great internal flights from Rome, Milan etc. with easy connections. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need help.
