About the home

Masseria Donno Santo is a beautiful large trulli complex of 6-bedrooms, with private infinite swimming pool.

Masseria Donno Santo is a very nice traditional trullo property with lamie that could accommodate up to 16 guests in four separate area of the property.

A) The Main Building (4+2 pax) includes:
- A large entrance with living room;
- A typical Alcova with a double sofa-bed and tv set;
- The main matrimonial bedroom with ensuite bathroom;
- A large bathroom with shower in tub;
- Beautiful stone-building kitchen with nice furniture;
- Large dinning room and patio (made under the beautiful Trullo Maestro).
- External suite (with separate entrance) with bedroom and bathroom;

B) Grande Dependace (4+2 pax) which is featuring:
- A large bedroom with 4 single beds;
- A large toilette (available also for disable guests);
- A matrimonial bedroom;

C) Piccola Dependance (2 pax)composed by:
- Suite with bedroom and bathroom in a typical lamia;

D) The Grotto's Dependance (2 pax)- available only on request:
- Suite with bedroom and bathroom, and external private area;

These ancient trulli were recently renovated to the highest standard, maintaining all original Puglian features. The large (20.000 sqm) designed and typical garden is full of fruit and ancient olive trees. Dry stones walls and the beautiful design pool add even more character to this beautiful property.

Many famous tourist sites are located nearby; Ostuni, the Unesco site Alberobello, the famous caves of Castellana Grotte and the beautiful seaside towns of Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.

We recommend this property as it offers a beautiful and comfortable holiday experience in a stylish up market holiday location. Three / four families could be accommodated very well, enjoying the "charme" of this superb place.

Balance is due cash at the beginning of holiday after the check-in with the manager/owner, if you are not able to pay cash, you should pay the total amount by bank transfer before your arrival (cheques and travellers cheque are not allowed).

Due to security and legal reasons law we will check-in only guests who have compiled our booking-form and agreement.
Security deposit (to be refunded at the end of the stay) EUR 500,00 (or by Credit Card).
Please be sure to leave the house in good condition.
No pets.
Final cleaning mandatory EUR 200.
Intermediate cleaning mandatory for stay more than one week.
Arrival time is mandatory in the afternoon between 4pm and 8pm (unless otherwise agreed). At arrival later than 8pm an extra charge will be applied.
Please advise us of your departure time at least 24 hours before. The check-out must be taken not later than 10 am.
Electricity is billed by use at EUR 0,30 per KW/h.
Bed linen and bath towels available on request - EUR 10 per person.
Heating - if used - is billed at EUR 150 per week.

The Puglia/Molise region

Puglia is a wonderful area to consider. It offers at least one excellent archaeological museum, a host of cathedrals dating back to the 10th century, Greek and Roman ruins, a gleaming necklace of lively fishing villages, one of Europe's largest forests, a chain of medieval hill towns, and some of the very cleanest beaches and water in the Mediterranean.

The Ceglie Messapica area

The area of Ceglie Messapica is located between the Murge and the Upper Salento: its typical elements include trulli, farms, lamie (typical southern single room square dwellings), rupestrian churches, carsic caves, dolinas, specchie and paretoni (remains of city walls), dry-stone walls, olive groves, vineyards, maquis shrub, ancient oak trees, cattle pastures and arable land.

Numerous archaeological remains of the ancient Messapi civilization were found in Ceglie's area. It had four lines of walls, the inner one having a perimeter of 5 km. The external one had high fortifications known as specchie, which could be up to 20 m and 60 m in diameter. (Wikipedia)

By train
- Nearest railway station is Ostuni which is about 27 km away from Trulli. Trains come from every major town in Italy. Regional trains are frequent.
By Car coming from North
Driving on the SS379 (E55) toward south (direction to Brindisi), exit to Ostuni-Villanova, then follow to Ostuni, then for Ceglie Messapica (SP28). Before to get in Ceglie Messapica follow directions to Martina Franca (SP3BIS/SS581) and then stop at the pick-up point.
By Car coming from South
Driving on the SS379 (E55) toward north (direction to Bari)

“best pool we ever had” a very quiet surrounding, great for families, very nice pool I would not recommend it for people who love the sea villages nearby are great, not too much tourists
