Every window has a view even the bathroom at the back of the house the owner has managed to create a window which one can still see the sea at the front of the house and also the garden/countryside at the back of the house.

Next to the kitchen there's the lounge area with open sofa where you can sit and read or admire the sensational sea views. The fireplace in the lounge area makes the ambiance warm and cosy on a cold winter days.

The study/library is next to the lounge then the corridor that leads into the bedrooms and bathrooms.

The Sicily region

Sicily is the largest region of Italy, with a population of 5 milion people. It has one of the richest histories starting from the ingenious people Sicuni & Siculi, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Normans, Spanish and the Bourban.

Each one leaving behind a trace of their presence, even the people their physical characteristics can easily resemble a Greek, Arabic or Germanic. The Sicilian dialect has some influences from the Arabic, the French from the time of the Sicilian Vespers. Important places to visit Monreale, Agrigento, Siracusa, Piazza Amerina, Cefalù, Noto.

The hottest months are July and August, the winters are mild around 10° - 15°C.

Cefalu

Cefalu has long been one of Sicily’s most beautiful and popular resorts. Walking through the historic centre of the town you will discover charming cobbled streets lined with interesting local shops and excellent restaurants. At its heart, in the town’s main square, stands the imposing Norman cathedral built in 1132 by King Roger 2nd. The huge image of Christ Pantocrator in the cathedral’s apse is remarkable.

Close-by, the long stretch of sandy beach is popular with both locals and tourists, and as the sun sets over the sea, the promenade comes alive for the evening passegiata. Cefalu is not just a seaside resort, but also makes a convenient base from which to explore the interior of the island. A short drive away is the Madonie National Park, with its breathtaking mountain landscapes and picturesque hill-top villages, perfect for walking and cycling, and even for skiing in the winter months.
