The B & B is located in a restored 1800's Sicilian farmhouse situated in the Park of the Madonie Mountains. The accommodation is situated perfectly amongst olive and citrus groves, vineyards and natural woodlands. A wonderful place to relax amongst the natural beauty of the countryside, at the same time enjoying the sensational seaviews and the breathtaking sunsets over the Rock of Cefalù and out along the coast of Sicily.
The farmhouse has been tastefully restored maintaining its wonderful historic stone exterior walls. Touches of the handmade Sicilian tiles and ceramics have been added to create an enchanting atmosphere.
For the ideal autumn holiday go mushroom picking in the Madonie Mountains or join the locals with the olive picking.

The Sicily region
Sicily has been the golden heart of the Mediterranean from early time, many people invaded the island from Phoenician to Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, and Spanish……leaving behind monuments and treasures to remind us of the past. The diversity can be seen in the different areas the Island of Morzia one of the oldest Phonecian settlements, Segeste, Selinunte, Valley of the Temples in Agrigento and Siracusa with its major Greek influence.
In Palermo we have the perfect example of the Norman period with the Monreale cathedral. In the centre one of the most important villas during the Roman period is Roman Casale at Piazza Amerina.

How to get there
Ryanair flight daily into Palermo, Punta Raisi airport which is located 113kms from the village.
The drive from the airport to the village is most of the way on motorway A20 Messina/Palermo, exiting at Castelbuono/Pollino and then taking road SS113 towards Cefalù, after 3 kms is the village of Sant'Ambrogio where someone will keep you to take you to the apartment.
The ferry port is in Palermo which is 90 kms away.

Further details indoors: The first 2 large bedrooms are located on the ground level and two are located on the first floor of the rural stone house. Each bedrooms are tastefully decorated, well furnished, private bathroom, satellite television and air conditioning.
Further details outdoors: The rural house is located in the small hamlet of Case Saponara, where the local contadine cultivate their fields with olive and citrus groves.
On the 2nd floor there's the large terrace where the kitchen is located for guests use, also the breakfast and sitting room. From the terrace there's extensive views across the countryside to the Rock of Cefalù.
