Apartment | 1 bedrooms | sleeps 3
This pleasant, cosy apartment has been designed with real care. It is air conditioned, very well equipped and with the owner's personal touch in the attractive and comfortable furnishing.
Everything is brand new as it was totally renewed very recently.
Notwithstanding its central location, it is absolutely peaceful and silent, as it doesn't look on the street, but on a quiet, secluded, exclusive courtyard garden, with nice plants and flowering pots, that you can reach from the balcony through an easy stair.

The Sicily region
It's more than an island! Discover Sicily and discover the world. It is Italy's most historically cosmopolitan region, having been ruled by Asians, Africans and Europeans. Our island is a unique place full of art, archaeology, history, folklore and breathtaking scenery.
Just take a look around you, at some of the most spectacular nature Italy has to offer: miles and miles of vineyards, endless olive groves, veritable forests of shiny citrus and fruit trees, rugged silver mountains, all against a backdrop of deep blue sea. And, of course, great food too. Sicily is almost a nation unto itself.
Cefalù is without doubt the most beautiful town on the northern coast of Sicily, a romantic medieval town built on the site of an ancient Sicilian and Greek settlement, just east of Palermo and easily accessible by train or bus as well as car.
Charming and characteristic are the narrow, maze-like and often steep streets, the small courtyards, arches and little fishermen's houses which appear to rise from the sea. It has both an ancient, incredibly picturesque centre and superb beaches of fine sands and rocks, beaches activities and all the amenities that a notable resort area can provide - the ideal combination from a holiday point of view.
Because Sicily offers so much to see, Cefalù is a very well placed base from which to explore. Good roads and motorways lead across the island and along the coast to Palermo, only an hour away. There is a frequent rail service and locally organised excursions.

"Charming apartment in great location"
We stayed for a week in "Serenella" and found it very clean, comfortable and well equipped - great to have a washing machine and hang out clothes which were dry in very short time. The loc… More

Serenella's apartment is perfectly located right in the centre of the old town of Cefalu. Everything is on the doorstep and a short walk takes you to the lovely beach. The apartment is small but fine for a couple and having a washing machine is a great bonus. The bed is extremely comfortable. Cefalu must be one of the most charming seaside towns in the whole of Italy.

The apartment suits excellently for a couple (hardly more) who want to enjoy some days the lively city center as well as the beach: both are very closed to the apartment. The apartment is very good equipped with kitchenware (except microwave) and bedding. The courtyard is lovely but it was useless, because we preferred to spend time outdoors.
The school, which is straight under window, brings you new adventures and you do not need an alarm clock to ensure that you don't waste your invaluable vacation time sleeping late - boisterous Italian children will take care for your day regimen.
If you are coming to Cefalu by a car don't expect to get a free parking near the apartment, but let drive directly to paid parking e.g. at railway station (RW). The parking is in walking distance from any target place (the city is small). You will lose 10€/day and save your time and nerves. RW parking is free during weekends (I'm not sure, but there was nobody to charge the fee outside working time and ticket machines were out of service).

"Very conveniently situated, well equipped and attractive decor"
This is a comfortable apartment with all you need to do self-catering. It's within easy walking of the shops, the cathedral and the beach. Good access to cafes, restaurants, shops and banks. Comfortable walking distance to the station where there is an hourly service to Palermo. You feel that you're in the heart of the town and quickly feel that you're part of the bustling activity round about. A very good place to stay.
Be prepared for teachers with loud voices in the primary school next door!

"A Lovely, Clean And Beautiful Home From Home In Sicily"
An absolutely perfect base for a week long holiday in Sicily. It was situated in the old town of Cefalu. It was really secure with 3 entrances (1 main door on to the street, a locked gate at the top of some lovely stone stairs, and then our own patio doors into the apartment). There was a perfect courtyard, private to the apartment. We cooked our supper and ate there one night which was just delightful.
Opposite the apartment there was a lovely small store where we could buy fresh in the mornings for our lunch on the beach. The beach was a 5 minute walk away (a very lovely walk through cobbled streets).
The beach was busy in September but it didn't bother us. Everyone was really friendly and there was a nice buzz about the place.
The evenings were warm and lovely and we would just stroll out of our apartment and 3 minutes later be sat outside a restaurant browsing the menu.
The apartment was very well equipped with everything you could ever need. All cooking and eating utensils, hair drier, TV, washing machine (which we found very useful) and warm water.
It was a really romantic little apartment...nice lighting and really traditional.
Serenella, the owner, was very helpful and spoke a good amount of English. Her cousin even picked us up from the station on our arrival.
A perfect week to remember.
