About the home

This extremely beautiful and spacious three-room apartment lies on a rise near Cefalù, surrounded from the appealing, Mediterranean nature. Ideal for guests,who prefer the elevated situation for the cooler air in summer and for the people who like to undertake travelling tours directly from their apartment . The sandy beach of cefalù is to ten minutes of distance.

From the big terrace you have a wonderful look on Cefalù and with clear view also on the Lipari islands. A big garden surrounds the duplex. The owner lives in the ground floor, he speaks fluently German and if you have some requests he will be always to your disposition. The villa is surrounded from a garden with palms, olives, and much green.

You can relax marvellously on the big terrace and can enjoy the beautiful gaze on that occasion on the gulf of Cefalù or into the hilly surroundings. You can reach the sea by ten minutes, the nearest businesses, restaurants and banks are to find in Cefalù.

The apartment has a generous area division and is equipped with rustic furniture. In the house, there are a TV (satellite TV), ADSL-internet connection and a dishwasher. Villa Sette Frati, 100qm, for 4people. Big Dining-/ Living room with kitchen, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big terrace. From Cefalù, one can simply reach the near lying cities of Palermo,Messina, Agrigento, Erice, Taormina. If you have the desire to visit the lipari islands you can simply reach them from the harbour of Cefalu by boat.

The Sicily region

Sicily (Sicilia) is the largest Mediterranean island, and is situated at the foot of Italy near the Northern coast of Africa. It is a volcanic island with Mount Etna, Europe's highest and most active volcano near Catania in the north east of the island.

There are hundreds of beautiful beaches where sea of all different shades of blue glisten onto shores of white pebbles and sands.

Sicily is an island full of tradition, history , good food and wine.
It is the biggest island in the Mediterranean, separated from the Italian peninsula by the strait of Messina. It has important mountain groups: Peloritani, Nebrodi, Madonie, Iblei. The plains are scanty, with the exception of the area around Catania. The coasts offer a landscape of fascinating beauty almost everywhere; groups of marvellous smaller islands are scattered round the coast (the Eolie or Lipari, Ustica, the Egadi. the isle of Pantelleria and the Pelagie). The Etna, rising in the centre of a volcanic area of Sicily, is the highest active volcano in Europe (3,323 meters). The isles of Stromboli and Vulcano are also active volcanoes.

The Cefalu area

The small town Cefalù is located 70km east of Palermo and is really worth a visit! Cefalù is a picturesque fishing village that enjoys a splendid position between the sea and a rocky promontory.

The town is divided in two parts; an old part that is mainly for pedestrians and has many nice little boutiques, and a new modern part with supermarkets, gas stations and car rentals. Corso Ruggero is the main street in the old town centre, and it has many different shops and in cross-streets you will find many good restaurants.
The old town centre is dominated by the cathedral and the Rock rising in the background.

Today Cefalù has a population of 14,000, but in the summer months this number is more than doubled. Cefalù has become incredibly popular in recent years; the town is fascinating and many tourists that come once choose to come back.

There is a very nice night-life in Cefalu as there are 5 well known cocktail bars and there is a very popular disco club.

Restaurants have a lot to offer as there are many types of restaurants offering either local kitchen or typical italian cuisine.

There are also many things to see in Cefalu, including the local and the nearby museums, the cathedral, the washing place (il lavatoio), the Osterio Magno, the Temple of Diana, the Castle, the sanctuary of Gibilmanna and the Bordonaro Castle.

The motorway gives you easy access to Palermo, Monreale and the Roman remains at Solunto. Slightly further afield, the Ancient Greek remains at Segesta (west past Palermo) and Tindari (east along the coast) are well worth day trips.

“Brilliant!” We went there in August for ferragosto it was ABSOULETLY GREAT!!!! it was a very memorable holiday that we cannot forget there's no words to describe it! if anyone is looking for a very realxing holiday with family or friends this will be perfect! we went to cefalu by our own car as it's in the north of sicily and you need a car to arrive there and the gps helped a lot, on our day of arrival the owner met us at the center of cefalu and took us to the supermarket that is very worth it and he's very helpful!! we recommend it to all.... when we left we had to catch up the ferry from pozzallo and recommended it to 2 families and my work collegues! GRAZIE PINOOOOOOO & RITA!!! PS speriamo di vederti al piu presto possibile
